I had heard about a new coaster possibly coming in the future similar to Crush's coaster in Paris, but the new rumor on Screamscape is that it could be themed to the Monsters Inc. hanging door sequence. As strange as it is, ever since I saw the movie I thought it would make a great coaster. Let's just hope if they do go through with this idea, it doesn't wind up being something like Pteradon Flyers or a Vekoma SLC. Of course, a B&M would be ideal, but an invert like Volcano could work too. Even a suspended coaster like BBW would be a good fit. Let's just hope these plans work out for the better.

It sounds more like it will be a family suspended style coaster with actual trains -- sort of like Runaway Reptar. I would imagine that it will probably have a custom layout though so that they can pull off the dark ride aspect as well.

There is already a topic on this in the Roller Coasters section but it does sound like it will be an amazing coaster when Disney is finished with it.

Wasn;t there something where B&M refused to build a coaster..or maybe it was Disney refused to let B&M build them one. From what I can remember, B&M didn't agree with Disney's policy on theming first, layout second.

That's a good possibility. I couldn't see Disney building a B&M because most of them tend to be tall and large, and I haven't seen anything too tall around Disney. Everest and ToT are both pretty tall (for Disney at least), but many B&Ms are even taller. If it is a looping invert, I just hope they don't go with Vekoma, unless they use some new track and new train styles like they did with Everest.

It might not be true but i heard years and years ago that B&M designed Dueling Dragons for Magic Kingdom and Disney decided not to take it so Universal got it. I wonder how true that story is.

What I heard is that DD was supposed to be part of Beastly Kingdom themed to Mickey (or someone else) fighting off an evil dragon. This was around the time that IOA was being designed and some Imagineers went over to Universal with the idea.

Ahhh. Maybe thats the story and over the years it got twisted into Fantasyland @ MK. Either way Disney really goofed if they let that go.

^ Never heard that before, but Disney would just seem strange in my opinion with Dueling Dragons. Anyway, while I am intrigued by the Monsters Inc coaster, I would have rathered that rumored spinning coaster.

| After seeing the layout of Crush's coaster, I definitely agree. It looks like one of the better spinning coaster's I've seen so far, but looks can be deceiving. I guess it still depends on what this ride will be like, family or thriling, before I decide that (if the ride is even built).
