All you post from the past 3 days basically state the same thing. Your points been made, move on.

Am will be alright. It's unique for the most part, it's healthy meaning it gets kids active, and it's beautiful in my opinion. It'll fit very nicely up there.

Besides, They never fully got to tell us what the courses are and all the details about it. All we know is the basics, no details.

I just got the word that AM is a go. I have ties with Dollywood and my sources told me that they've already begun pre-costruction work...

All of this launched coaster talk gave me an interesting idea. If it could be close enough to the ground, it could almost be like the speeder bike chase from Star Wars. That would be pretty awesome, I think, zipping around trees following the terrain tightly at a high rate of speed. Of course, you would need the traditional elements too, but I'm sure that would be taken care.

It sounds like Mystery Mine land work was started in July, so I imagine that it won't take near as long to do ground work for AM, so we might not see construction start for a few weeks, I bet.

I can assure you the design is NOTHING like DLF.

Dollywood Pete, Can you tell us how the year is going so far attendance wise. I mean is the park on par with last year? It has been fairly busy the times I have been so far. I think the new parking is working out great! Next year when the tram lane is swapped with the visitors lane will be the icing on the cake! When I think of efficiency I think of Dollywood!

The year has been impacted by weather much of the time. That tends to even out and we will have a strong year.

First as for AM, of course I'd love a big thrill ride in it's place or something like Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain incorporated into it, but I think AM will nicely fill the void in Wilderness Pass.

Now I want to share a dream I've had for the park for quite some time now. I think it would be great if they took the old Rags to Riches museum and expanded upon it making an aquarium. It could tell the story of the "Little River" much the same way the TN Aquarium tells the story of the TN river. To expand upon that it could have an exit onto a boardwalk built upon the ridge in the Village behind the train depot. The underside of the boardwalk could have supports spelling out Dollywood much like the Hollywood sign. The reason for the boardwalk would be observation for a black bear habitat and possibly some other animals from the area.

Sigh... You got me excited because I thought you meant the black kind that they have to pull down. Those are just for safety for the access road...

^I swear if you didn't put that post up and when I got on here just now, nobody was online haha.

I think AM will be fine. We can still wonder what Splash Country will get in 2010. Or would we have to open a new thread for that?

I haven't really kept up with this thread at all, but hopefully with Carowinds and KD both "supposedly" getting coasters, and BGE supposedly having something new lurking in the woods in 2010, Dollywood will get a coaster too.

It would be cool to have another huge coaster year like we did in 2000.

I know BGE is out of the market for Dollywood and KD probably too, but I go to all these parks every couple of years, and if they all get coasters next year I'll be hard pressed not to hit them all.

Oh and Pete, I actually came to the park back in May, so that's one extra ticket sold.

Hmmmm...Maybe there not telling us ALL the details for 2010. Pete did say that they had ALOT of plans and ALOT of things to do. If they do get a coaster its GREAT NEWS to me .....Also guys, remember back in the artwork the fire on top of the tower that we were all wondering about??? Could this be leading to that?????

lol thanks philip....I mean think......The fire ontop of a roof just out of the blue is a little suspicious when AM has NOTHING to do with fire rescue, wood fires, or anything like that..I mean it had all of us curious.....And how he said BGE is suppose to have something lurking in the woods........they could have something lurking in the Great Smokey Moutains sometime soon...I really hope ...
