Thats great! I still have the widget on my pc. I see that Mystery Mine was a one acre expansion and Adventure Mountain will be a two acre expansion. That will fill in alot of the space in Wilderness Pass. I am assuming it will be in the area where the first Zip Line on Sky Zip ends at near the Tennessee Tornado.

Hooray!

I think it's going over in the big empty area where we say the fence last year.

Thanks for all of the info!!! Looks like Dollywood's 25th anniversary will be a good one. I don't know if Adventure Mountain will be something that I'll participate in but it still looks very nice. I visited the park for seasonpassholder day back in March. Since then, I have made 3 attempts to take another trip this year but I have had to cancel all 3 for some reason or another. I've made at least one visit to the park every year for the last 18 years and I've never had this much difficulty in getting a trip organized. Shew, I'll get there sometime! lol.

I have a DW trip planned towards the end of July, maybe there will be some construction going on. I was looking at google earth and see all the space between Timber Canyon and DSC. Combining that with the Sky Zip description of the point near Eagle Mountain Sanctuary being Dollywood's furthest border, I suppose they will keep expanding north. I wonder if Adventure Mountain will be the ending point for going east. I bet they move up to the train loop next and keep going north just as Timber Canyon is north of Craftsman's Valley. If they own all the land between Timber Canyon and DSC, that is a whole lot of room! Maybe room for lots of expansions plus even two or three hotels! It could really be a huge resort! Its exciting! I drive my freinds crazy talking about theme parks so much, I'm trying to tone it down. I'm thankful I discovered this site last year!

Lol yea I love this site too......Well even though its not what I wanted, I think it will look really good up there on the hill, and it will give us a new way to get back in the train loop area. All I wonder now is whats in store after Adventure Mountain????

Hey everyone, I just joined in on all the fun. I've read this forum abunch and every time I read I learn somthing new, well I have a few things to add. When I was at DollyWood last (which was a while back) I coulden't help but notice on the train ride, on the way back down the mountain I noticed an old looking mine shaft coming from the side of an mountain, It had a sign above it as it read: AIR SHAFT 13!!! we'll the first thing that poped into mind was an launched rollercoaster. Then I thought of SDC becouse they have Powered Keg, but I know DollyWood could pull this off, Remember Mystery Mine Is suposed to be in MINE SHAFT 13!! I know sounds like a link dosen't It??

well the shaft was on the right side of the track heading back towards the park, I also noticed some contruction of the work on the left side of the tracks aswell but it seemed unusual becouse I had went on it some time before and it wasn't there but when I went on it that time it was there weird!!

The mine shaft has been there for years. It was used to film the Mystery Mine teaser videos before it was officially announced.

First off, Welcome! Secondly, I hate to Pee in you Cheerios, but that is only a prop, similar to all the buildings and moonshine steels and all. It was used in the Mystery Mine videos that explained the back story. you can find them .

For anybody hasn't seen the video on You Tube of Dolly delivering her commencement address at UT here is the link.

At 11:16 Dolly talks about Dollywood and then mentions that there will be a big television special for the 25th anniversary. This will definately boost attendance if this is true!

Pete, will the zip lines that are up now still be an upcharge next year or will they be a part of Adventure Mountain?

I would imagine that the Zipline will still be an upcharge due to the fact that the lines are ran by an outside company (Skyline Eco-Adventures) out of Hawaii.

I tell you one thing that would be amazing to see the older rides receiving refurbishments for the 25th anniversary. Anyone agree?

Like the Rampage? I'd love to see that worked on somewhat. Also, I think the 50's street could us some paint, and, oh, idk, some stores.... They used to have them there but they don't anymore. I think it'd be cool if they threw in some new street performers! Jukebox Junction just needs some overall attention.

I think Tennessee Tornado should get a new coat of paint.

I agree about Jukebox Junction. I think it's one of the neatest areas, but it's just so...bare.

They were going for a rust color, it's over 10 years old now, so some of it actually is authentic... :P

...great theming and an act of genius- never have to pay to paint the thing.

I think they need to touch up the roof on mystery mine a little....because on Timber Tower if you look, some of the paint or pieces of the metal are scraping of.........but I think out of all the rides, blazing fury needs the most attention...

Dollywoodlover1 you are right about the fury. The thing about Mystery Mine in my prospective is that it can get away with having paint and metal being messed up because it is "Abandoned" if you know what I'm saying. You know if you ride Timber Tower at night you can see a shadow of a bird on the Mystery Mine!

CoasterCraze the construction you saw was probably the Skyzip Attraction. Their was a bunch of construction for it going on.

So what is everyone's thoughts on the adventure Mountain?

I personally think that Camp Teachittome will be a great thing for the kids to learn how to love and appreciate nature and all that lives in it. It is a nice tie to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park!
