I'd say 15 or 20 dollars would be about AS MUCH as I would pay for any of those. I'm almost positive these are the premium experiences that are supposed to be coming. I believe the MM one will get more business than SkyZip if they have it.

Yea Dollywood is not what you would call a cheap park. The food their is expensive...most the time me and my family eat outside of Dollywood....but sometimes like this past time I went, we ate in Dollywood. Reds Diner is soooooooo good

No problem man, its cool.

I love eating at Red's and the Ham and Beans place. That's about the only 2 places i like to eat at Dollywood. I usually eat outside of the park because nothing at all is cheap inside the park. Not even the fudge. I'm the nut that puts Vienna Sausages in the car and comes out of the park at lunch time and eats them lol.

Btw since everyone was giving their names earlier, I might as well join in. My name is William.

Hehe, you aren't the only one. My family does it every time we go to Dollywood. Only it's usually sandwiches and other various snacks rather than Vienna Sausages, haha.

yep! Foods great, but i do the same thing... oh and i always fill my souvenir mug up with coke before i go so that saves some money too. and the free water! I love how they do that. that is a life saver.
i dont like this premium stuff. i mean, its really cool. but in my opinion it just makes most season passholders mad.

^Yup, I got it too. Kind of ironic seeing how we all were on the subject of the high price of food at Dollywood. lol.

But really, DW's food is nothing compared to Disney, or even SFoG

I agree. From the Six Flags parks I've been to (haven't been to Disney), Dollywoods prices overall are much more resonable.

Ouch! I wonder how Busch Gardens Williamsburg is. I think they have won best food several times. I am getting a big urge to visit there maybe in the next two years. It is just so far. It would be cool maybe to go to Dollywood, then on to Busch Gardens, back to Dollywood, then home. I can't wait to hear all the announcements for next year. Don't they usually do it in August? If so, one more month to go.

I'm afraid we're not going to see much of an announcement for DW this year. Maybe just an updated version of AM, but nothing Major. To be frank, I'm not excited at all this year about DW. I mean, we're getting something that I'm going to have to drag my tennis shoes along for, and something that I feel is mainly going to be for kids 7-14. I'm 17, and will be 18 when we get AM. Unless they have something that will blow my sock off, I doubt I take part in the "Adventure". I am, however, becoming increasingly excited for 2011. 2010 was, as has been said, supposed to be a big year, I mean, 25th anniversary, expanding up the mt., but now that'll be in 2011.

But to be honest, I feel that DW will explore different avenues before venturing down the path that has a B&M/Intamin at the end of it. I think we'll see a dark ride, maybe another water ride similar to the old flooded mine; a few more flats; probably a new area; new train station; new restaurants; new theater/show; and some revamping of some preexisting areas, *Cough Cough* Jukebox Junction...

There will be a Splash Country announcement surely. Plus you never know what they might be planning. I went to Dollywood last year for the first time in about 15 years I think and loved it. Since my first visit last September, I've been back 4 times and number five is later this month. I may take a few years off depending on what happens, give the park time to grow more. Holiday World and SFSL are doable as a day trip whereas Dollywood requires travel. I would like to go to Disney, Universal, and Busch Gardens so that may take the place of the Dollywood travel funds for the next few years. I will say my Dollywood Gold Super Pass is well worth the money! Free parking and 20% off food and merchandise rocks!

and i agree with whoever said not being too excited about next year. I'm ALWAYS excited about it but not so much right now. I cant wait till opening day, i wanna be there in line to get in and see what all happens but besides that...
who knows? Maybe they do have a suprise or two or three up their sleeves. lets be positive. =]

Yea I'm really not that excited about it either.........I just really HOPE that they add something else besides a restaurant with AM.....Yea I mean, I'm 15 and not excited about AM at all, I mean the looks of it I like, but the idea of it I don't. I mean sure, for the wild younger ones it will be fun, but for me, not so much. I mean its the 25th year Dollywood has been open, they should do something really big......and I know Dollywood has the money to do it. Because look at it like this, tickets are 53 dollars a piece....take that times the price of people a day at Dollywood plus the kids price a day(46 dollars)....thats ALOT of money......

Please do. It would be great if you could post a trip report. I looked through all of them and found just one for a season pass preview day. I'm looking forward to hearing about it! From looking at their map I can see it will be beautiful. Dollywood and Busch Gardens are both beautiful!

If you take into consideration season pass sales you can't really figure the revenue that way. I mean I bought my season pass at Christmas and used it three days then. I used it two days in April, three days in May, and will use it three days in July. That is a total of 11 days which would equal $583.00 by your method, not including parking. In reality I paid just $118.00 I believe plus no parking and getting 20% off food and merchandise. I bet they make the most money on food and merchandise. I am an accountant and it would be interesting to see how they figure out what to charge. It would be overwhelming I am sure but still interesting. I need to get into roller coaster tycoon and see if I can make a park profitable. I am just too lazy to learn it, I logged in once and it was so complicated, I couldn't get the entrance to the coaster correct and here I had a coaster that people couldn't get too!

Yea I think if they lowered the prices a little more people would come......
The only thing I'm excited about for next year is seeing AM on the map, I'm sure it will look good....

haha i wonder how they'll do that? So what all will Adventure Mountain have? That Camp Teachittomee (not spelled like that). anybody know what that is? and then they have the little canoes/kayaks that go in the circle for little kids to ride. I think it will all look really good and be a nice addition... i just agree with all of you that people our age wont like it as much.

The Camp Teachittomee is the little kids stuff. Or at least I think it is. Its where little kids can learn stuff about the outdoors and do the little canoes and stuff. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
