Did you see any construction?

Edit: I'll be going this Saturday so I will see if there is any construction work going on yet.

Just to back up the Ivert rumor, my freinds freind works at the park and he said that the park will most likely be getting a B&M invert for the 2010 season. He also said that it will be a 2nd gen invert to featuring new trains and elements. He also mentioned the possible removal of timber tower. These are just rumors, but it is a lot more assuring than wikipedia.

Interesting- we all know B&M's 2nd Generation Inverted Coaster has been years in development, we know the new trains will be tiered like Behemoth's are... but what kind of new elements are there left out there?

Dollywood needs a coaster that lasts over more then just 2 mintues 30 seconds or so. something that is steel and is fast all the way though. I like Tennessee Tornado but it is just to short. (Short and fast like a Tornado lol )

But who knows what Dollywood has up their sleeves?

Man I hope they dont put the new trains like the hypers on an Invert! I think it will take the ability for quick abrupt maneuvers away. And take capacity away.

Who knows its a B&M it will be good!

Woah! Where have I been?! lol I didn't even realize there was a 2010 thread! So what I'm gathering from previous posts the new attraction will more than likely be a B&M Inverted coaster? Sounds great... can't wait to hear more!

It would be cool to have a flyer in TN but I hope it's an invert instead.

Ok, this may seem kinda pointless to some of you, but after doing some research on this "Timber Ridge" I ran across, I found that the houses that you see from the Tennessee Tornado, the ones that are literally on stilts, are part of the "Timber Ridge" Community...

Any more ideas about 2010 or has this thread taken a little break?

Hopefully for 2009 or 2010 the Fury will receive a much needed refurbishment. It really just needs some T.L.C!

I think they're just gradually doing that... They've installed a new train here recently....

And No, no new info, but think about it... Numerous rumors about the coaster, and even pete owens didn't shoot the idea down, instead he just called this thread "interesting"

Like I said in the Dollywood 2009 Thread, The new Blazing Fury train, Train 4, is really smooth. It is nice to have something new to a classic ride.

They also fixed the gun fight audio too. It is nice to have 97 percent of the ride working correctly now!

Just has a quick thought about 2010!

At Silver Dollar City they have Power Keg and its slogan is "A Blast in the wilderness"

Maybe Dollywood will get a powerkeg type of ride in Wilderness Pass for 2010???

I hear 2010 will go behind splinters trailside snacks!

It would be great to build a pure wooden roller coaster to reclaim #1 from the voyage. It sure would have to be great. Dollywood could then have the number 1 and number 3 wooden coaster. I hoped mystery mine would rate well on the steel coaster side but it was like 48 i think. At least it made the top 50!

Dollywood doesn't need another wooden coaster. I like the idea of getting an invert because its something new. You have to look at Dollywood's current rides. Every ride is different. An invert would definitely be something different than any of Dollywood's other coasters.

Smile

That is true williard2194. I was thinking how holiday world has three wooden coasters but no steel coasters. Dollywood has one woodie and now two steel with mystery mine. I was just thinking another wooden coaster might not hurt. However, i see now how each of the rides are different. I think i agree that some other type of coaster would be better such as an invert, flyer, or maybe even a 4d coaster. At any rate, i will be happy, i know i love dollywood, holiday world, and roller coasters. I just got addicted this year!

Holiday World does have a steel coaster. It's called Holidog's FunTown Coaster.
