Ok, So your saying you like and old rundown water ride??? the very first time I rode it was awesome but after that it was really lame sorry, but I've riddin better. the ride hits bottem more than a dozen time before the second tunnel.

I'm saying ether remove it all together or give it a massive facelift or something!!!

Maybe I went before they moved it to the villege but I remeber it clearly in the DLF sorry....the talking Christmas tree is in Santa's Workshop now atleast thats what I understood, OH how long has DLF been open anyway?

Look all I'm saying is there not going to keep the park the same and let everthing get rundown and torn up, they have to keep everything new and up to date.

I don't think Daredevil Falls is run down at all. The water not working was a result of a pump breaking. I'm sure it was something that would require shutting the ride down to install. Instead of missing out on months of operation (like Timber Tower, lol), I'm sure they are just waiting until the off season to do heavy maintenance.

Tinker the talking Christmas tree was up at the Wings of America theater in 2007, and they didn't have it back last season. Good riddance, in my opinion, lol.

Did anyone else notice on the Smoky Mtn. Christmas map that the Parade of Lights is only running through December 23rd? Isn't that a cutback from last year? I believe it ran during the entire length of the festival. With Santa's Workshop closing on the 23rd as well, the park isn't giving the little ones much to "ohh and awe" at after Christmas! The parade needs to be there during the entire festival for ALL to experience and not cut a week early before the festival's ending.

I'm also disappointed to hear that the German Pyramid isn't returning this year. My cousin from Savannah is considering visiting Dollywood's Smoky Mtn. Christmas for the first time this year. I told her how beautiful and unique the pyramid was. I was really looking forward to showing her and the rest of the family the grand pyramid, which was a wonderful rendition of the Nativity and the Christmas story itself. I always thought it was very elegant and detailed. IMO, a giant Snowman doesn't sound like it will be that interesting or unique to view as the park's centerpiece for the festival. However, I'm willing to give it a chance and see it in person before I completely dismiss it. I just hope it's not simply a giant inflatable, LOL!!!

I'm really excited to see the newly revamped Carol of the Trees with the enhanced LED lights ! ! ! I hope they also bring back the fireworks finale this year or a different finale, maybe a new song for the ending! The Polar Express in 3D returning makes me "Jolly for Dolly" too!

I don't really see how its run down....The only thing thats not working is the falls and maybe a couple sound effects...But what ride doesn't have little problems like that...I mean Mystery Mine has had more stuff not working on it that Daredevil Falls, No offense Mystery Mine I love you hahaha. But its not run down at all in my opinion...And I'm pretty sure Dollywood is too smart to remove one of their main rides...It gets to many riders and stuff to remove it and it doesn't need to be removed..I love the feel I get when I get on it, it makes me happy lol

Well I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like that ride! It's been open for a long time usually they change some things out after atleast five years, I'm mean if they don't change it the park will look like an rundown park!

I'm not saying the ride is completly rundown, I am saying that it already had it's prime so I say give the guests some thing better bigger maybe a water ride that is a little longer? to me it's alittle short anyway.

I guess nobody realy liked that idea about DLF, oh well maybe I'm the only one on who sees the park differently?

If wondering about that Zipline Sweepstakes posted in the guide map it's valued as $4000, I'm not sure what all it has if you win.

Going by your logic, they should probably remove Tennessee Tornado and Blazing Fury since TT is only a year younger than DDF, and BF is really old and has already past its prime.

I disagree with your every 5 years theory. If DW, or any park, did that, do you even know what rides would remain? Most everything that was built before Thunderhead would be gone or replaced. Dare Devil Falls is not going anywhere any time soon.

I pretty much agree with everyone else here. DDF isn't run down at all. Its one of the best rides at the park, IMO. I really don't see how it will make Dollywood a "rundown park." Dollywood is far from that.

NO, YOU'VE GOT ALL WRONG!!!!!! I never said Dollywood was rundown! I said it would become run down if they kept rides that arent tended to. Everytime I go on DDFS it hits bottem I 've been on other water rides that has never hit bottem thats what I'm saying, If this doesn't get fixed I'm not going to ride it again it takes the "X" out of experince so to speak!

Are you talking about were it hits bottom after the dark portion with the "bats?" If that's what your talking about its done that since the ride opened. Its a drop to speed up the water flow.

Yea I didn't understand what he meant by hitting the bottom...lol...But ever since I've rode it its done that...and besides, if it hits the bottom how would that indicate that its rundown???? To me rundown means when stuff looks rotted, and is falling apart lol

Lame? Thats your opinion, I've got mine. It is not rundown, nothing a little maintenance can't fix. Of course it hits the bottom, it has since day 1. They have a few "dips" in it to make it move faster.

CoasterCraze, please allow me to say whats on the minds of us all. Since you've arrived, it seems as though we all have either misunderstood everything you've ever said or you say something and then change your meaning when we all start disagreeing. We enjoy you being here and enjoy sharing our input with you. However, at the moment, it's like what you have to say is the only thing that should be considered. It all started when you were certain we were getting more than just AM this year. It's like you are pushing your opinions on us and then we were start to disagree, you panic. This involves you using caps which looks like you're yelling at us, which will get you in trouble.
Please take all this to heart! We're not trying to be mean, it's just that you've been really aggrivating. Maybe you can just back off a natch or two...or three. If you have any questions, about any of this, feel free to PM any of us, me included.

-Philip

Yea I really love Daredevil Falls! And like Coastercraze I want to believe that they will be adding something extra, But I just doubt it....the smallest thing they could possibly add next year along with AM would be a flat ride....But I mean if they add a coaster along with AM next year....What about 2011 and 2012??? To me when I look that those two years, I think something big and great..Especially 2012...I don't really know why but I do lol..

Just to let you know I've ruled out that theres a coaster coming to the next year, I never said that that the two flat ride was coming next year it was a thought I had, I've taken my attention to the next season(2011) I'm thinking a replacement of a ride simular to what they did for Tennessee Tornado. Lets just say they didn't remove DDFS what would you replace/revampt? (just for fun, not saying they will)

I think that Dollywood will get some leftovers from Celebration City next year. Wild adventures is getting a few rides and they can't keep it all left out or stored away(whatever they did with the rides) forever. I don't know where they would put anything either but I believe we will get something, lol.

I am almost certain that Dollywood will get some of CC's rides. But I don't think that's all they'll get. They've been on a roll with expansions. I mean, in 6 years they've literally build a whole new side of the park. So why would they stop that now? I think that 2011 (or 2012 at the latest) will be train loop development. I think it'll have a coaster at first and then go from there, like how Thunderhead started the expansion in that direction.

^^Oh yeah, most definitely. If you pay attention to the Adventure Mountain artwork, there's a path that goes up on the right of the ride, up the side of the mountain. But yeah, we'll get some old flat rides for 2010 to put somewhere and maybe 2011 too for the expansion up the hillside there. I would count on coaster for 2011 somewhere up there. I really wish that the aerial maps of dollywood were up to date so I could look at the area.

^^It's all speculation. Although AM is the only thing confirmed for 2010, there is still a possibility for more.

No, I was saying that I personally think they'll get some old Celebration City rides along with Adventure Mountain in 2010. I wasn't saying they ARE , just that it would be something I could see them doing to get ride of the old rides.
