Um... No, they were going to use the new AM path to get up to the new coasters area..... And think about it, if they Can't afford steal for a tree-house, how can they possibly do it for a coaster???

Honestly, although I too originally thought new coaster in '10, I don't think DW was thinking of that. Perhaps we are still 5 years or more from a coaster- even more now that everything has been moved back a year. I just don't think coasters are the big thing on DW's agenda. Look at the past two years at what they've added (and include AM as what they plan to add). What are they? Rides that families can enjoy together. I believe we'll continue to see more of this rather than the thrill rides/coasters.

They seem to get a new coaster about every 3 years...

2004-Thunderhead
2007-Mystery Mine
2010-Rumored B&M invert or flyer

But now it seems that what ever 2010 was will now be 2011.

It would appear whatever it was has been moved back, but who knows, they may surprise us...

^ I hope.
Pete, can you help us out on all this confusion?
Like I mentioned in the 2009 thread, I think it would be neat to have an invert that goes through the mountains and trees and be a family/thrilling coaster. I think everyone would love that.

2010 is Adventure Mountain as we announced. We did have an "idea" what we would do for 2010 previously, but we will make a final determination about the 2011 and 2012 additions after we gauge the economic conditions in 2009 and 2010.

Thanks for the info Dollywood Pete. It was great listening to your interview. I thought it was cool hearing how Dolly had veto power. I have always been alittle confused on how the Dolly/Hercshend partnership is structured. I read something different on most sites I look at. I didn't know if it was 50/50, 51/49, or what. It is cool to know Dolly is actively involved other than just promotion.

I like BF's rustic/old feel of it... Reminds me that there was a Dollywood before Thunderhead...

Maybe they'll make the needed improvements.

But the new car was a nice improvment!

My bad man. I wasn't saying that to your post. I was saying that to a post that was there before, but it obviously was deleted.

I did here a rumor stating that the Blazing Fury was in planning for a Q2Q entrance.

Isnt the exit a little too narrow for a Q2Q entrance and exit?

Adding a Q2Q entrance at BF's exit would be a nightmare- remember, there is no host on the unload side other than the dispatcher. So it would require 3 hosts to run the ride at all times, or Q2Q would have to staff it all the time, which in my experience, I know they won't do...

To keep this topic alive, what do yall think of Dollywood having a Halloween event similar to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, Busch Garden's Howl-O-Scream, and King Island's Fright Fest? I think there could be some good scare zones with all those trees in the walkways and plenty of other places for actors to hide. The line to Sidewinder could be turned into a haunt. The County Fair area could be turned into the kid friendly haunt area. I'm sure Dollywood could have an awesome Halloween event!

I doubt it would ever be up to par with HHN but it could be better that Fear Fest since that event is so bad.

Just depends on how much money DW can put up each year for the event. I doubt it would be any good for the first few years and it would never be as good as HHN. Dollywood just does not have that kind of money.

However i would love to see Dollywood get into the haunt busniess.
