I would like to say God bless 'em because I expect to squeak by with smaller things again this time.

I ask for one freefall tower and at least another flat for SFGADV. It would be a small band aid on a larger one needed. Hopefully Houdini's Great Escape is back.

Great idea especially if Two Face will go. It could quiet those who've been complaining for this medium sized park.

Things would have been more dreamy in like 2000 when the spending spree went on. I have to feel lucky with the small scale work going on in these coming years, the Thomas town coming to certain parks, the Tony Hawk coasters. The Evel Kneivel is a sign of hope. Smaller things are getting done. Some of these suggested items could still be done as they have with this recognized clogged fuel line of debt the last few years to the corporation, lower stock price, the economy, tourism in general. I'm still worried about the anvil taking Six Flags to the bottom of the sea in liquidation. I wish them luck year to year now. There's just that realism that there could be an end in the years to come as much as we hope for things to turn around. I realize both ends and of course I want my Six Flags as a whole to get out of the thick.

I have enough worries as it is about Six Flags. I'm not inheriting anymore with the Cedar Fair. Steering clear of that.

The Tornado for Hurricane Harbor NJ is a sign of hope, an icing on the cake. I'm not a big fan of waterparks so real fans probably have a longer list of wants for that but for modern water attractions the funnels seems as a Must Have.

A victory for SFGADV would be getting SFNO two towers though I think they need at least one more. Would it be feasible to move those two and go through the whole SFNE modification treatment than to just buy 3-4 new towers with a structure crown?

Don't really like Six Flags....

But I wouldnt mind seeing a few more things at their parks.

A Drop Tower for Great Adventure as noted

And instead of a Giant Frisbee for Great America....how about a Topple Tower? Plenty of people go to Cedar Point and theres a Giant Frisbee there....one thing CP doesnt have is a Topple Tower, and that would go good in Gurnee seeing as you'd have to drive all the way to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee to ride one.

Personally...Belly-up is right. I don't expect Six Flags to be around much longer....sorry. Especially with them spending some money in China now (which they dont really have)

Since SFA added yet another mundane waterslide they're certainly not adding anything in 09 despite the fact that it'll be their 10th anniversary as an SF park.

Two face will be removed and like we saw with iron eagle & the enterprise there will be just an empty field where the coaster once stood.I truely see that park going the way of GL in the next year or two & the fact that they've done nothing to repair the fire damage from nearly 2 weeks ago is proof of this.

It sort of reminds me of the RWB derailment last season at GL & why CF didn't bother fixing it.....they never bothered fixing it because, even then they knew that they were going to close the ride side of the park at the end of the season.

SFOG- The Dark Knight in front of Axis Arena and/or a Huss Giant Frisbee where FreeFall used to be.
Six Flags White Water- They really do need more slides. They haven't gotten anything new since Tornado in 2004.

I honestly tthink they should sell all parks except the origional 6 parks that way their name finally fits the comapny again and that would eliminate alot of debt.

They aren't paying for the parks in Dubai or Future China, South Korea, or wherever. They will get paid for name licensing and part of the Profits. Kinda like Tokyo Disneyland Resort format.

Hmm....

Well, still, their very much in debt and need to do something.

I do like some of their parks though, but they could do without a few (like CF did with Geagua Lake). Not necissarily close, but sell the parks that arent doing so well and they could get some money out of the deal AND the parks can remain open.

Im not a Six Flags fan (sorry), but it sounds like a good idea to me.

Yeah, I know but I like dancing around inserting as many words as possible. It's pulling teeth to get through reading.

That's 9 characters actually.

I'm open to returning to the Time Warner Era core plus the two parks SFNE, SFDK after that acquisition by Premier.

Six Flags Great Adventure could use an S&S combo tower.
Six Flags St. Louis badly needs a B&M mega coaster.
Six Flags Magic Mountain could use a compact GCI coaster.
Six Flags Over Texas could possibly soon be home to the tallest and fastest roller coaster, maybe if it wasn't for the nearby airport.
Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, oh boy, they need a lot of stuff, that place is going down the toilet.
That's all I could think of now

I try to think of what I would do if I were trying to keep the company afloat but still expand the parks. The list I put together would Cost around 30-35 million to do.

GAmFanboy list would likely cost around 60-70 million.

If they sell SFKK They will likely get 40-50 million for it So it would cover the years expatiation and then pay down the debt.

SFI should take notes from this guy: USJ turnaround artist has all the moves| The Japan Times Online

He might not have all the answers, but he's got some good ones.

That was a very interesting article. Looks like some positive changes were made. Shapiro should defiantly sit down and talk with him.

Yeah, but there's a big difference between running 1 park and running 19 parks. Plus I'm Willing to bet that Hollywood Dream might have had some part in helping attendance.

Actually no there isn't. The goal is the same. Micro Manage the parks as if they needed to survive on their own and the company at the head will prosper.

Besides they are running the company almost as if they only owned one park. Investments for a long time have gone to a select few parks. these parks are so expanded that they could easily take a year or 2 off but they still favor those parks over the others in the company. Those ignored parks suffer from dwindling attendance and poor approval numbers. in the long run they drag down the company.

They need to sell all the un-needed parks in the chain to reduce debt and problems for the company like:

- Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom
- The Great Escape
- Six Flags America
- La Ronde
- Six Flags Mexico
