I think going to Peanuts and a Generic theme wont hurt the parks at all.
PS- Personally I remember Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the gang just fine and I'm younger than you. I used to watch their holiday specials all the time and read their comics in the paper each day. | Kids don't Parents do. It's all about marketing. The character tie ins are to draw in the parents. They can bring their child to see that character their children love so much at the park. My home park Canobie Lake Park has no contracted character. closist thing they have ever has was Bozo the clown. They still pull in the families and some have opted to switch from SFNE to Canobie for their family trips. though one of there busiest weekends on record int eh last 8 years was Spongbob weekend. Some of the local parks in this area make some of their busiest days are the ones with character appearances.

| | | I personally don't feel that a clown make a good children's character for a park. Many people find them just plain scary and creepy. I'll be much happier to take my son to see Mickey, Bugs, Snoopy, what ever they have over a clown. Even one as lovable as Bozo was.
Having a clown as a character is one small step above having the Burger King as a character. And he just gives me the willys.

I hate that "king"
I wonder what will be new this year.
The rumors are not even that confirmed. (Compared to other places. where, there were construction marks)

For a project of somesort (this year or next year). Theres Markers up in the Beach Midway by Space Spiral, Demon Drop & Disaster Transport (runs into the employee parking lot) and then there are markers back in Frontiertown by Snake River Falls/Maverick (which is where the supposed Water ride is supposed to go).

| | | IF you go to the blog on CP site u can see the stacks of wood, most likely for MS, since Dick K. was seen there with some reps from GCI a few weeks ago.
