Post Mysterious Yellow B&M Track!

Not really sure if this is the right section for this.

I have seen this on every coaster site and was suprised not to see it pop up on TN yet so i'll start things off.

So any guesses to what park this track might go to?

Is this for 2009? Do they start track this early for 2010.

I say Kennywood but they were depending on an Expressway expansion and acquiring a train yard right? They could use a modern looper and since space it hard to come by an invert would kill two birds with one stone.

You just really want to hear Carowinds don't you?

I don't think it's for Carowinds but i'm not going to say it's not. We all wish it was for our home park.

I think maybe Cedar Point or SFA.

Well, the F1 park being built in Dubai is called F1 X.
The customer listed on the track is X-Works.

Coincidence? Probably.

I know in an article, Shaprio said that he plans on getting rides on the order of Kingda Ka, El Toro, Nitro, and X2 in Six Flags Dubai. Maybe if it was something not to far off, and it was a large enough B&M, they would start earlier since it has to be shipped over seas.

Six Flags announces plans for Qatar amusement park (and Korea, China and India too) - Travel - LATimes.com

I'm probably wrong though, But that is interesting...X-WORKS...

Doesn't it seem odd, that a person could just waltz right in and take pictures? I believe this is real, but something seems fishy.

My guess is Universals Studios Singapor, Scheduled to open in 2010. They are now at a point where they would be ready to put the coasters in. Much like they did here in Florida the coasters were actually put in a year before the park opened.

I dont believe that the yellow track will go to a US park. B&M have a buisy schedule for the 2010 season and are getting started. I would expect any USA coasters not to be built tell late in the summer of this year much like Manta and Diamondback were.. Its rumored that there are 4 international coasters and possibly 2 USA coasters.

Same thing happened with Patriot and Diamondback track. While it IS trespassing.. I guess because it lacks a fence.. People don't think to keep out.

Whoever it is for, is smart enough to disguise their company name on the labels.

I'm sorry, but with all the construction going on in other parts of the world, I would think that coaster track could be made closer to where it's gonna be installed. It would coast a lot of $$$ to ship all that half way 'round the world.

Very doubtful.
That was Wikipedia stating there was going to be a new concept. The bathroom cleaner at Jeepers has more credibility than Wikipedia.

And it costs even more to replace track when it is made bad, and made of crappy steel that won't stand the test of time...Also, keep in mind we import far more from Asia then Asia does from us, that means that there are more then likely empty containers traveling back from North America to Asia via Ocean Freighter. Also, when something cost as much to build as a coaster, you want it built right, and the factory down south has proven time and time again they create quality. They may also fabricate the parts here due to scheduling conflicts with there European factory(s).

B&M makes all of there North American track at the factory where these pictures were taken. I little bit ago there was Dive coaster track sitting around, the only known dive coaster being built right now is in China, so this yellow track could very well be for over in Asia somewhere.

It appears to be inverted track as the heartline is to the inside of the banking which would mean the car/train is below the track. There are rumors of a Inverted coaster going into Valleyfair for 2010, and if I had to construct a coaster in an area that far north, I would start next summer and try to have as much of it done before winter hits.

And yes parks start this early, Mavericks track starting showing up in the spring a year before it was supposed to open, and they tore out the log flume at the end of the previous season. I think it is Valleyfair becuase they just removed there log flume, now I understand they are installing a wave pool for this season, but that flume took up more space then the new Wave pool is going to be sitting on.

That was just my guess and only the people who need to know what this track belongs to know right now, and I am sure they will be glad to tell us when the time comes.

I would suspect the "X-Works" is partially a reference to the year 2010. X being the roman numeral for 10 and all.

Wow-sorry for the book...HA!

It doesn't make sense it would be in a Dubai or Europe park. Even if it was for an East Asian park (assuming B&M doesn't have a factory there and cross pacific shipping is easier than shipping over land through all of Asia from their European factory), I don't think that it's an invert. In the third pictures, there are many unbanked, inward sloped pieces of track, which I can't seem to think of any element an inverted coaster would use.

Looks more like the bottom of a pretzel loop for a flyer, considering that track_six suggested that the banked pieces show an "under track" heartline.

Don't know if this can help us:

^ I think he was trying to be funny. Lets look at the choices shall we.

Cedar Point got nothing this year and used kiddies rides the year before...
Six Flags Great America has had a dive rumor since griffon came out...
Knotts Has some more pathways that need coasters above them...
Valley Fair has had an Invert rumored for ever.
All the orlando parks seem to bee adding new coasters...
Wisconsin Dells hasnt got a coaster since Hades and avalanche...
Kennywood has been needing a modern looper...
Dollywood needs to compete with the rumered park being built...

I knew he was but he thinks every new coaster is going to Carowinds. I just play along.
----------------------------------------------

I would love for Dollywood to get it. Dollywood needs a major new signature attraction and a hyper would be awesome at Dollywood if they used the landscape.

I didn't think it was a hyper?
I thought it was an invert?

I didn't know the type if coaster was announced. It might be an invert. Either way both would go over big at Dollywood useing the lanscape.

Could it be a Floorless?

I don't know about anyone else, but looking at the pictures, it just does not look like an inverter to me. There is too many inward curves to the track as opposed to outward curves that you see on an inverter. Either way, I say let it come to SFOG... just so I actually have a reason to buy a season pass this year...

I don't know.
From the "scape'
Quote:
On Hold - (10/13/08) Dollywood has announced that due to the downturn in the economy as well as some availability issues with construction materials, they have put the Adventure Mountain project ON HOLD for the time being and it will no longer open for the 2009 season. Instead the park will focus more on their entertainment options and will add Imagine’ by Le Grand Cirque during the Festival of Nations.
If they put something on hold for the economy, I don't see them putting this in after all the other rides they have been putting in. (river battle 5 Mill. Eurofighter (I think) 17 Mill.)

But only time will tell.

In all honesty, Almost all of B&M's track looks alike. I don't think anyone can tell what it is.

Dollywood is not the only answer. If the ride does go to Carowinds as a hyper I hope it doesn't have a dumb little bump before the final brake run. I experienced it on Goliath at La Ronde and I understand Goliath SFOG has it as well. I guess they got smart and excluded it from Behemoth and Diamondback.

I forgot Dollywood's 2009 attraction was held off till 2010.

I honestly think it could be for a number of parks. My biggest bets would have to be Cedar Point, Carowinds or a Six Flags park but it could go to any park in the US or even overseas for that matter.

I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. If it's track for a hyper an announcement would have to come early from any park. Maybe April.

I don't really follow many parks but Carowinds does seem to be the only park clearing out a large plot of land but that means nothing.

Well, I don't want to be the kind of person that says that everything should go to my home park or anything, but the only reason this sticks out the most, is that other parks are in a warmer climate. They could go a little longer into the winter to build a coaster. But thats the only thing that sticks out to me.

But it really doesn't matter, its not like this is the only thing coming out of that plant!!!!!!!!!!!

This coaster will NOT be an invert/flyer or a hyper. Did anybody notice a particular track piece in one of the pictures? It is a piece for a loop on a sit-down/floorless/stand-up coaster.
I highly doubt that it will be a dive machine.

That could be a piece for a pretzel loop on a flying coaster.

It's definitely the track on a pretzel loop. Maybe it's coming to another Busch Park.....

Or maybe it's a Superman Clone for a SF park with an updated theme. Dark Knight theme?

Too bad we don't have a shot of lift hill pieces. That'd be a dead give away.
