I see a big black dirty B&M invert like Great Bear, Nemesis. I think they should go big and unique like that. One shot.

Good for Keenywood. A coaster sounds great for Kennywood. but were woudl they put it? A slash battle is a waist of money. They have a good selection of water rides. If they are going to use that much space and that much money they might as well add a coaster.

I Hope the plans slide over to some of the other properties around the Chain. By 2010 Story land will be on it's 3rd year with no addition after a 10 years stretch of additions. Lake Compounce hasn't seen a big addition in 5 years when they added thunder and Lightning. It's been 7 years Since Water Country got anything new and 5 rides since slide was added.

Hopefully it'll be something unique. All the parks are installing Intamins and B&Ms to catch up, but I think Kennywood should go more creative, like a Eurofighter. Or maybe they can get Mack to show us their LIM coaster abilities.

Does Kennywood own the hill behind Racer and Jack Rabbit? If so, then that's a very nice place to put (another) terrain coaster. I doubt it would be a B&M, because we all know how... conservatively they've been thinking lately.

I think they do. Is that the hill that leads down to the Train depot?

Jerry - I agree, as much as I love B&M's, They should look for a coaster that is a it more unique. They could spend less, deliver as much, and send the savings on to other US properties.

Sorry to double post, but for those of you who don't know, a major announcement is supposed to be made at KennyKon this year on July 19th. Will anyone be there?

I'm also hoping they'll get a nice B&M or Intamin. Even a GCI woodie would be neat since Kennywood is known for their older woodies. Meaning they could make a GCI and name it something that one of their older coasters was once called back in the early 1900's. That would be interesting. A Euro Fighter wouldn't be too bad if it's well-themed which most are.

I don't think we'll see HUGE new coaster anytime soon. Maybe something smaller. I think a Euro-Fighter would fit nicely into the park, you never know though... Can't wait til July 19th.

Well for Kennywood, and the people of Pittsburgh, a Euro-Fighter is HUGE. Almost any coaster added tot he park would be a HUGE addition in my eyes.

They are mentioning season passes in that survey a lot. Maybe it's just me, but I really hope that they HUGE announcement isn't a season pass. They might sell well, but then it would just be a big hangout or something. Then again, maybe it's just me.

Okay, a local news station reports that KW will make a announcement to the media on Wednesday morning. Then mentioned that anyone that ias a fan of the park's coasters will be pleased!

Kennywood To Announce New Park Attraction - Family News Story - WTAE Pittsburgh

A member on KPConnection fansite(who apparently has relations with the park) pretty much confimed that the announcement would be for a coaster and hinted that it's not going to be a Euro Fighter like everyone was speculating.

If it's a new coaster then I might finally make my first trip there. I have been meaning to and a brand new ride would be a big motivator.

Not to sound rude or anything, but you have to be motivated to go to a park?

It's mostly down?

I wanted a 4-5 inversion B&M invert.

The new coaster looks really cool. The launch, the drop, the inversion. Some good stuff! Wish I was closer.

It said weeks. It could be a month before we find out the name.

It has also been mentioned that the top of the second hill on the PR will be fixed during the offseason.
