Alright It sounds fun and all but, when I read the announcement it didn't say where in the park it would be built. I'm still guessing by those four tubeing slides where the path dead ends.

Yeah that will be good to know. Hopefully Pete will pop in and let us know. If it has four lanes it should be small enough to fit there or over by Mountain Twist. Those two rides could maybe use the same mat station. I bet that's where it will be.

We'll just have to wait and see! I did some looking and most multi lane racers like that are six to seven lanes! but I heard it was only going to four lanes thats small!

The four lanes may be due to space concerns as well as being less expensive. This is after all a slow year and I am happy they are getting something at the water park. I never understood why the regional theme park operators (Cedar Fair, Six Flags) would have expensive additions when they were already in debt but I guess in the theme park business not adding anything for too many years may be attendance suicide. I would rather they do this and add something small than go another year without a slide addition. The tornado remains one of the handful of slides they don't have and I am hopeful they will add one when the time is right. It is more expensive I am sure. I rode Zinga at Holiday World friday and realized again how much I like tornado slides. I also road the racer and its fun too.

Yes!! I was even right about the location. I'm not so excited about the slides, I'm just excited I guessed it right, even the location. Haha

Holiday World's Jungle Racers are a set of ten at 314 feet long and Six Flags St Louis' Wahoo Racer is a set of six at 262 feet long. Splash Country's Slide Rock Racer is four lanes at 300 feet long. It goes to show they aren't all the same length or width. I think its fun looking at that stuff. Maybe that's part of the reason I'm an accountant lol. I am surprised that Slide Rock Racer costs one million dollars. That seems high, I think that is what Swift Water Run cost. Then again, Proslide may have a minimum charge. I know several of our vendors have minimum charges for stuff. Just thinking out loud.

Dang, looks like you guys didn't get your Proslide Tornado, haha. Those Racers seem really fun too though. I've never been to Splash Country before, In fact...I've never even ridden a water slide =\... but I still think it will be a great addition to DSC. I need to get on a water slide =|.

If I were a betting person I would bet it will be a ProRacer. I think it would be longer if it were a Octopus Racer.

I am confident the time will come. I respect Dolly's judgement although I am disappointed. I can still dream though!

Think of it this way, they built the park up eles-where, Now they're building up the main area of the park. Good idea, I think?

I hope this new slide they're building is really unique like the rest of the park! Splash Country is a really fun water park, although I've not been in a few years but I sure would like to go back some time!

What if it's something like what's a boomerang bay? It looks short enough...

I don't think there is room there for the octopus style slide. I think it will just be straight.

hmm i think its just gonna be straight due to the picture they released. I rode one once and it was really neat to do! Someone should correct me if I'm wrong because i have no experience with water slides... but is this type of slide the kind where you get timed going down and you can compare it with the other people racing you and see who won? The one i rode was like that. I think it was in Myrtle Beach.

They have the ones that are timed and I think that parks can also get them without the timer.

I just read on Screamscape that Slick Rock Racer was probably going to be at the upcoming water park at Stone Mountain. That project has been delayed so they used the slide at Splash Country. It makes perfect sense since it fills in the little gap between Raging Rapids and Mountain Twist. However, this still gives me hope they will eventually get a Tornado slide.

Dude don't get your hopes up.....I mean I'm sure they already have big plans for 2011 ok it could be the tornado slide but then again, I'm pretty sure that they won't be getting it anytime soon sorry.
