I hate this type of rumor, but It may be true. A coworkers cousins boyfriend, who works at Carowinds says the water parks will get a new funnel type water slide for 2010. Just something to throw out. He also said that the new ride would be a major coaster with over 2 1/2 minutes of ride time.

Uhh, I don't think we're going to get a large hyper, a Proslide Tornado, a Carolina Cyclone repaint, wood being replaced on Thunder Road AND the other various upgrades that take place over the summer. Seems like too much =\

why not? Ceder Fair owns it now, and they can do anything they want, I'm sure we'll here more on this later.

Well that may be true but I don't think they're going to give Carowinds more than one multimillion dollar attraction in a year. Especially with the debt they have already.

Maybe 2011 but even with the hyper i would not count out a waterslide as well.

Yeah I could see that in 2011 along with a Planet Snoopy re-theme for the Nickelodeon kids area because it will happen soon. Canada's wonderland is already being converted to Snoopy with a couple of other former Paramount Parks expected to follow.

I think if they got a funnel slide WITH a hyper, I would want CF to sell us. (us being VF and WOF) I think that would be just ridiculous!

Well you know that Carowinds needed a major overhaul, maybe the would rather fix up the park and then add a new attraction also. I would say they know what they're doing I'm not going to judge them because they don't do what I expect them to do. To me that's a selfish manner!

Oh and with a repaint, rebuild, a new 23 million dollar coaster and other various upgrades, we're getting a Planet Snoopy which means more money spent on Carowinds. We won't get a Proslide Tornado. I would see this next year but not this year. Cedar Fair has a debt to deal with , they will only spend what they absolutely need to.
