will this happen

sfmw sounds an awful lot like SFKK theyve got there good coasters so is six flags ready to ditch SFMW and have it turn into a SFKK or will it still get a lot of new coasters!

From what I know these parks aren't really anything alike. SFMW has some new coasters...something that SFKK doesn't. SFMW is also a marine park. SFMW also has competition in PGA, that is probably the main reason the park is developing so quickly. As far as I know Six Flags isn't ditching any of its' parks.

they aren't even closely related because SFKK has no competition so they don't have to had a coaster every year but SFMW has direct competition with PGA. And even if SFMW didn't get any new coasters for awhile they would still be an excellent park with Roar, V2, and Medusa

I don't think Six Flags intentionally "ditches" any of their parks. Parks with less devolopment like SFKK and SFEG are like that because they have little or no competition. Why spend money on new rides when your guests are satisfied and are less likely to go somewhere else? A park like SFMW has competition in PGA so of course new rides will be built fairly frequently. Look at the growth over the past few years: V2, Medusa, Roar, Kong, Boomerang. All of those coasters have been built recently leading me to believe that the construction at Six Flags Marine World won't stop in the near future.

If my 'Six Flags park caste theory' is right, yes, SFMW is sort of 'ditched'. The more appropriate word is 'neglected'.

But still it would not suffer the fate of SFAW and SFEG, which are at the bottom of the caste.

There is no other major park in Kentucky so there is no reason keep pouring money into it.

The closest major park to SFA is PKD, 75 miles away, but they still keep developing. The closest park to SFKK is PKI, 100 Miles. One reason they don't devolop it too is land. They have little land left so they have to be cautious with what they use. They also can't build over 190 feet. I think they should move SFKK to a new spot(like SFEG did) with a lot of land and no height limit. Most rides there are moveable, but it won't happen. SFEG has limited space too.

PGA and SFMW are HUGE competitors. If you haven't noticed, each park has built at least one major attraction each year ever since Six Flags bought out Marine World. This year PGA got Psycho Mouse and SFMW got V2. Last year, SFMW got Medusa and PGA got Stealth. The year before, PGA got Invertigo and SFMW got Roar! Anywayz, it goes back further, but i think you guys get the picture. Six Flags still hasn't quite caught up to PGA in the coaster count so I believe that they will continue with their coaster-a-year thing. As for PGA, they might start slowing down as far as building new attractions go. I can see them getting a TA2K or something that isn't too space consuming. They are running out of room in their park and can't really expand since they are right in a major buisiness area, but who knows maybe they'll think of something.

I think that V2 has brought alot of attention to the park. I have heard so many negative things about SFKK. I think it looks ok but I'd rather go to PKI if I was in the area.

I would say that after the recent boom, they will probably slow down a little, just enough to make it the choice park in the area, and so their profit margins are up high enough

Well SF shouldn't be spending ANY unncisery money right now. They should be paying the bank there huge intrest fees and the VERY HUGE loan! Six Flags is in a big hole and they need to dig themselves out, SOON!

maybe that is why SFGAM doesnt get as many rides as the other big six flags parks. there is no competition, and there is a lot of people still coming to the park with old rides. they are lucky these rides are good for their age, or this park would have been gone, they need to add some more rides.

Their is absoulutely no reason why SFMW won't get a new coaster each year until PGA slows down.

Yeah SFKK is right next to a big airport. In which basically has tons of traffic just from UPS. Then you got Southwest and Delta and other airlines there.

Of coarse not. It will be the other way around if it ever happens. I think SFKK should get a coaster for 2002.
