I've never been to a park with lo-q (SFOG is the only one that i know of i'm pretty sure there's more), but I know how it works. You buy a "Q-Bot" which is this little watch type thing and it puts you into a "virtual queue". When its your time to ride, it beeps and you go ride whatever ride you purchased it for.

All of the Texas SF parks will have it by the end of the summer. You use the Q-bot to reserve times on rides, so you're waiting the full wait time, but you're not actually in line. The Q-bot machine figures out how long the line is and tells you to come back in that amount of time.

The rason for having them is people will be waiting in line without waiting in line so SF thinks it's okay.....

I, for one, hope that Paramount won't buy into that crap and buy it, I hate when people get to cut because they are handicapped.

It's not cutting in line, you're still waiting the full wait time, you're just not standing there with nothing to do like the people that are in the queue.

my homepark is SFOG, and i've never actually rented one, but i know exactly how it works. you get to the park in the morning, you go to the little LoQ retal building, and you rent a Qbot. it cost $20 bucks, plus $10 for each additional person (up to six ppl total). you to up to a ride you want the Qbot to "wait in line for you" and stick it in this little slot. it beeps, and you can go do w/e you want. when it beeps again, you go back to that ride and go through the LoQ entrance (usually the exit) and they put you on a train. they ususally put you in about the 5th car. you also can't currently use LoQ on SUF, i think (havenet been since april 20th :( )

I've used lo-q about 14 times this season & last, and it is great... the price is $10 to rent the q-bot, and $10 a person to use it, so one person is 20, two is 30, three is 40, and so on (up to six people) and you can use it on any major ride/coaster (except for Mine Train @ SFOG), and the wait is usually a little less than the normal queue line (this is very noticeable on Dejavu and S:UF, yes, you can use it on S:UF, because the longest I've waited for either of those ride's w/ lo-q is 15 minutes, and the queue for dejavu is always around 2 hours, and S:UF around an hour) but most of the other ride are about equal to the normal queue... but what you do is you recieve this little pager thing (a little bit bigger than a pager) : and you take it up to whichever ride you want to ride, and place it in a small slot in the reservation point: , and in about 2 minutes, your time will pop up, telling you when you may return, and during that time, you can chill in the shade, go eat, ride other rides, or whatever, and when its ten minutes before time, it'll vibrate and beeb, and say "Next Ride Soon" and you can go 5 minutes prior to your reserved time, and 10 minutes after (so you have about a 20 minute window in which you can ride) and when it's time, you go to a special lo-q entrance: put the q-bot in the small slit in the "Entry Point", and your q-bot will say "Enjoy the Ride", and you show that to the ride op standing there, and he will show you where to go, and what seats to board... I hope that was a good enough overview ;)

Six Flags just rippin people off, it's ashame. The whole reason they offer services like this is that they feel by getting people off lines, they will spend more money (food, stores, up-charge attractions, etc.), plus they're chargin people for these things, and you don't even get to choose your own row! In my opinion, Six Flags is just rippin people off, but the good thing is that I don't have to use it, and with more money Six Flags can get more coasters :).
