Special "Season Pass" Gate at PC

"In past seasons, Paramount's Carowinds has operated both of its entry gates each day of the season. This year, the park will open the Season Pass Gate (formerly South Gate) to the general public only on days when attendance levels warrant a two-gate operation. However, the Season Pass Gate will continue to be open daily for season pass members and guests accompanying them. Preferred parking for pass members will be adjacent to the Season Pass Gate."

This was written on the park website...considering most of the people that visit Carowinds (about 75%) are pass holders, this looks to be quite a stupid idea.

I'll agree with that, the whole SP parking is yet another dumb idea that the park has come up with, there really is no point because over half the people who visit the park are SP holders as you said. But now that makes me think. why are they trying to get people to park over there if there is talk about expanding county fair or placing a new themed area there. just a thought.

I also have another complaint, Correct me if i'am wrong but i could have sworn parking was $7 Opening day and now it's $8. No wonder the parking lot never fills up, everyone parks over in the mall parking lot, that where i've parked for the last 3 years. $8 is just outragous.
