What is your favorite park and why?

Cedar Point is the best IMO.

I think for theme parks Universal, Disney, or Busch. For amusment i like six flags, but then again i have only been to dorney out of the cedar fair bunch.

I think it depends on what grounds you want to argue it in my opinion. For thrill rides and alot of awesome coasters I would go with Cedar Point all of the way. For a great atmosphere, mind blowing special effects, and really cool rides, I'd go with Islands of Adventure. Now if both of those parks were to be blown up tomorrow, I think I might choose Six Flags due to the lack of options. Then again, it would depend on my mood at the time. I find Roller Coaster Tycoon to have a better experience than most Six Flags parks.

I'm a coaster lover so I pick Six Flags. If you like more family like parks, go to a Cedar Fair(even though they make some great coasters). But if you're more into theme, you go to Universal. But Six Flags is my favorite.

I love cedar point and SFMM. My favorite parks go like this though.

I like CF the best because of CP. CP has one of, if not the best variety and collection of coasters and thrill rides in the world. SFMM is really good too, but they need to concentrate on things other than coasters as well to make a truly great park. I think that as for the companies' other parks, not their premier parks, SF might take a little better care, but it depends on what you want. SF constantly adds coasters and several thrill rides, but the parks are often dirty and people often complain about rude employees and crowds. CF doesn't build as many thrill rides as often, but they supposedly have nicer employees and their parks are usually cleaner.

<BR>Universal is in another category - theming. They don't have as many thrill rides and coasters as the usual SF and CF parks, but the rides are all themed in a great way, which enhances the ride experience. Again, this depends on your preference.

<BR>However, all of the three main parks, IOA, CP, and SFMM, are great. That is one thing that most of us agree on.

i think that you are comparing apples to oranges, at one end of the spectrum is magic mountain a park that wouldnt spend on new theming if its life depended on it. And IOA whose main attraction is a 100 million dollar themed ride

my favorite parks are IOA, magic kingdom, BGW, IOA, BGT, USF, IOA, and IOA

Is Cedar Point worth driving 12 hours with 3 kids???

No way is Cedar Point worth driving to for 12 hrs with 3 kids. 1 is hard enough but 3 no way.

I would have to say Cedar Point is #1, But SFMM and SF GrAdv are very close behind.after that, the quality drops off alot IMO.The only other parks that I think could be up there,which I havent visited, are IOA,BGT(waiting to go on Montu) and Knotts(really waiting for ghostrider).

Is Paramount the forgotten chain or something? Many people on here acts like it doesn't exist. Paramount parks seem to put all of the things the other chains do together, but not to the extent. The build many rides like SF, but not quite as many. They theme like Universal, but not nearly to their extent (although TR:TR at PKI next year sounds like it will be Disney quality). They also have friendly employees and for the most part clean parks and good crowd control. As for your question, the two SF parks I've been to I've disliked very much (SFMM, SFKK), the two CF parks I've been to I've enjoyed very much (CP, KBF), and the one Paramount park I've been to I absolutely love (PKI), but my favorite chain is none of the above. I love traditional parks and HW is my favorite.

I think Cedar Point being right on the lake rules. Why you may ask its always some what cold (when your not just standing in line). Also Cedar Point has mist fans on popular rides anyway.

I like Six Flags better because its not just one park!

Ceadr pont is my favourite park, but its not really a theme park, so my fav theme park is BGW, ive never been to BGT though.
