okay, heres the deal. i have the choice to goto either PKD or BGW, but only one. i was at BGW in 1995, and PKD in 1998(before volcano opened) i'm looking for advice on which park to goto, as well as when(what day of week and what month). i might as well point out that i only have from 10-6 to stay at the park, if that changes anything. any replies would help, thanx.

Well I would say go to PKD but i have never been to either of them.. But the Hypersonic looks like a great ride so that would make up my mind |

If u mostly care about coasters then its definetly PKD. They got the amazing hypersonic which i get to ride in 2 days. Volcano is like no other. Flight of fear is amazing now that it only has lap bars. Anaconda is not as rough as everyone says and is usually a walk on. The woodies, especially grizzly, r great too.

Easy, go to PKD. They have quantity and quality. Hypersonic, unlike anything you will ever ride! Volcano, its intense! Flight Of Fear is awesome w/out the harnesses. Anaconda, Grizzly, and Hurler are great too. (Grizzly being best woodie). Avalanche is fun too. Shockwave, id avoid that cuz of the lines and its not that great. If it was up to me id say get to the park on a Tuesday or Wednesday, more tour buses come on Fridays. And get there early, so you can stand at the barricades for Volcano/Hypersonic. If it was up to me id say wait for the barricades at Volcano. Sometimes Hypersonic doesnt open with the rest of the park, but Volcano always does, and can have longer lines too. And there isnt a mad run to em. The security 'escorts' you to either Volcano or Hypersonic. Have a great trip!

i should also point out that FoF isn't really to high up on my list because i'll be riding the chiller this summer. also, i have been to both park before, so i know what all the rides are like except alpengist, appolos charriot, volcano, and XLC. i do like theming alot, but i beleive theming without rides is pointless(cough epcot cough). again any replies are helpful, thank you.

If you havent ridden Volcano, XLC, and Apollo and Alpengeist...it depends what you like, if you liked launched rather than height, PKD easy. If youd rather ride a hyper, go to BGW. Themeing, Apollos Chariot lacks alot of actual themeing, while Alpengeist is great. Flight Of Fear has an awesome theme, and Volcano sorta does. But if it was me I personally like Volcano and XLC better than Apollo and Alpengeist.

Overall BGW is the best park but PKD has the best coasters (with the exception of Apollo's Chariot and Alpengeist)

personally,i think that BGW is the better choice.i DEFINATELY feel that the big bad wolf and the loch ness monster are SO under-rated.they are still great coasters.plus you have apollos chariot ans alpengeist!people need to realize that BGW is a really great park.it is more than a flower garden like everybody thinks.it has a ton of awards and last year it was rated 2nd best park (CP first).BGW is definately the best choice. They also have great rides like escape from pompeii and roman rapids .hope this helps, and no i don't work here.
