That was good. A nice answer to the question why CP lacks theming. But I knew there was something wrong with him, he's a Central grad. He's a rival of mine now...;)

I'm surprised to hear that. The way the article makes it sound, it almost appears they're struggling. That might be overdoing it a bit but I am surprised to hear that attendance has dropped so much over the years. Cedar Point should still have a focus on new exciting rides but ones that are very reliable. I think that in the long run record breaking rides that are plagued with downtime hurt more than they help. People go to ride these rides and when they see that they're not open, some people have second thoughts about coming back if they were dissapointed in their last visit.

They should also put some emphasis on adding more family attractions since that's always where the money will be at. They've added some new great rides but their attendance has dropped since it's high of 3.6 million in 1994, the article says. That was the year of Raptor which also was only five years after Magnum and three after Mean Streak. Those rides were very reliable and obviously satisfied guests. They should get rides that are more reliable and also get some more family attractions.

I think a profit of over 70 million dollars is far from struggling. I would love to profit 70 million and I'm sure Six Flags would also...

I didn't mean to say that I thought they were struggling but rather that the article almost makes it seem as if they are. They seem to put a sense of urgency and make it appear to be a dire situation for Cedar Point with their slipping attendance. I am surprised to hear that it has dropped so much over the last decade. I would've thought with Millennium Force in 2000, that would've been their high year.
