Lineups at your park?

How big are the lines at your park? Obviously on weekends its more crowded but how long does it take on weekdays as well as weekends to ride the roller coasters at your park?

Here at La Ronde it usually takes about half an hour for every roller coaster. (especially vampire which is always packed and if both trains arent working then good luck!) cobra always has less lineup (a standup roller coaster) and so does super manege. Monstre is pretty popular around here being the highest wooden coaster in the world but the lines go fast as there are 4 trains. The flat rides are walkons like Tornado (maximum 10 minutes) and bateau pirate (pirate **** but it's been closed lately). Vertigo takes a whole lot of time even if it has such a small lineup. Manitou as well and Orbite (which is like a tower ride.. its always crowded and takes about 30-45 minutes)

Now its your turn!

At CanobieLake most of the rides you only wait 1 or 2 loads till your now.The S&S tower maybe 10mins... 2 of the 3 coasters are almost always walkons.. But Cannonball almost always has a full line (takes about 45mins).

SFNE can get VERY crazy sometimes.. Mr Six gets 2 hour lines anyday of the week. SROS use to have 3 hour lines 2000-2003 now it still pulls 2 hours.. SFNEs SLC is almost always over an hour wait. And the S&S gets 90mins almost everyday.

The average wait on Carowinds attractions on weekdays is about 10 min with the exception of Borg which runs about 30 min.

Hmm, well I'm not sure which park is my home park, so I consider Sylvan Beach, Seabreeze, and SFDL as all of my home parks. I'll start with Sylvan Beach. The lines were exteremely small, given it's not that known and on top of that I go on week days. All of the rides i nthe park are a 2 to 5 minute wait, but that's because that is how long the ride lasts. So I can ride every real ride (no kiddie) in the park and then some re rides on almost half of them in 2 to 3 hours. Then there is Seabreeze. Jack Rabbit normally has lines 5 to 10 minutes long, but that's because it is 85 years old, and there is a brake man in the station so it is forced to run on one morgan 20 passenger train. Then most of the other rides are 10 minutes long, including the waterpark. The only rides that have a line over 10 minutes are the kiddie coaster, which was like 20 to 30 minutes long (or it seemed that long because I was bored) and Gyrosphere, which it's lines are 10 to 20 minutes long, but that's because it is an enclosed Scrambler with a laser light show and the ride lasts like 5 minutes. Then there is bobsleds, which it was originally a kiddie coaster but then then it was modified to have a third layer of track, and becausde it was originally a kiddie coaster, it's capacity was low, 3 trains withg 4 passengers each, so now a family coaster, it's line reaches 15 to 30 minutes, while the lines in the waterpark are about 10 minutes. Then there is SFDL where Predator's line was 10 to 15 minutes long, then S:ROS was 30 minutes long, when the line was almost in the station. Next was Mind Eraser, which it's line was 10 to 20 minutes long. Viper lasted 5 minutes. Also there is Twister, the park's Top SPin where the line is about 10 minutes. (They are all so short because I'm basing it on the last time I went there and it was i nearly September 2004) I can't really remember the rest.
Wow 6 hours for one ride...
You do know what ride that is right?

Here at PCW, the coasters really vary but here's the idea...

Bat - 30 minutes
Dragon Fire - usually a walk on
Fly - 30 minutes
Italian Job: Stunt Track - 45 minutes
Mighty Canadian Minebuster - 5 minutes
Scooby's Gasping Ghoster Coaster - 2 cycles
Silver Streak - 2 cycles
SkyRider - depends
Taxi Jam - 3 minutes
Thunder Run - 15 minutes
Tomb Raider: The Ride - 20 minutes
Top Gun - depends
Vortex - 10-20 minutes
Wild Beast - 5 minutes

Sledgehammer always has a 2 cycle line. Psyclone sometimes has the entire queue filled.

The longest i ever waited was in 2000. I waited 4 hours for Millennium Force.

The next longest would be Dragster when i waited 3 hours and 25 min.

Too long for a 15-20 sec ride. Then again so it 3 hours and thats how long i waited for TTD. TTD was worth the wait though.

Storm runner-anywhere from 5 minutes to 40 minutes on weekdays,15 minutes to an hour on weekends.
Great bear is anywhere from walk on to 20 minutes all the time.
Comet-pretty long lines in the morning about 25 minutes but as the day gets older it will slim out.
Lightning Racer is almost always a walk on.
Same with wildcat^^
Rollersoaker can get 40 minutes on hott days but you get wet in line so thats nice.
Sidewinder can go from a walk on to 10 minutes.
Trailblazer can get up to a 30 minute wait for a childrens coaster!!
SDL is usually a walk on
Yep.

By the way if anybody is even interested today I went to La Ronde I got there at 1 pm. Amazingly there wasnt a lot of lineup. Like for instance after 6 pm super manege (a roller coaster) had noone in the lineup. Maybe 3-4 people at the most. We rode it 3 straight times. Then we went to boomerang and first turn it was us. Then cobra there was nobody not even a single soul in the queue. We rode it 2 or 3 straight times. Vampire the same thing. Tornado too. I dont know it's a little surprising to me as I went to La Ronde 15 times this summer and always waited at least 20-30 minutes for those roller coasters. Maybe its because school is gonna start tommorow (well some schools will).

I went this past week (one week ago officially) and I would imagine that the lines can vary a lot based on when the local schools and all return to session and stuff. I would imagine that this is why my recent visit was in some cases considerably different. From the most recent visit, here is what I noted (sorry, just felt like letting everyone know that I am still here...just been busy).

Volcano - short, only about 10 min...and that was for the front, but then again, it had closed for some reason and had re-opened about 10 minutes before closing.
Flight of Fear -very short. If it had been any shorter, I would have thought it was walk-on, so give it a 5 minutes from the recent visit.
Tomb Raider - 1 cycle.
Grizzly - about 5 minutes.
Rebel Yell - 1 cycle.

Maybe I was lucky, after all - I think school started in that area last week although not living there, I really don't know if it did or not. But those are good estimates, and probably accurate to the bulk of the summer.

Yeah, any new outrageous coaster concept or record breaker with average to below average reliability usually sees ridiculous half-day long queue wait times in their inaugaraul season. I've waited up to 4 1/2 - 5 hours for X at Magic Mountain during its first season. And this was with 2-3 trains, an efficient and freshly X-specific trained seasoned crew of what seemed to be 10-15 ride hosts/operators.

I'm sorry, but 6 hours is just too long to wait for a ride. Any ride. This case (KK) definitely warrants a ride reservation system of some type.

Are these recent wait times? What time of day? I think we're aiming to arrive at opening tomorrow (Sat. of holiday weekend) so DH can get on KK.

6 hours is WAY too long to wait for ANY ride. Even two hours, considering a plan to be in the park 8-10 hours, is limiting a guest to just a handful of rides during a one-day visit.

On the older rides (Cyclone (arrow looper), Vortex (b&m standup), Hurler, Thunder Road (woodies)...) its always walk on, except for saturdays or holidays. TG the Jet Coaster (b&m invert) runs about 5 min most days, except Fridays (about 10-20 min) and Saturdays (20-40 min)... Borg (vekoma flying) runs from about 15 min on empty weekdays, to 45 min on a Friday/Sunday. Saturdays the line gets to be 90 min, or up to 2 1/2 hours if they're running one train....
