| RAGING SPIRITS at Disneysea a big disappointment
hey fellow enthusiasts. just got back from an awesome japan trip, (not the ace/ecc trip). rode 26 new rides, and my coaster count is now ever 300! the only disappointment of the trip was "raging spirits" at disneysea. what a laaaaaame ride. i've ridden indi in paris, and always thought that was pretty lame, as well, but was excited by all the hype over the themeing for raging spirits. anyways, i've learned a lesson: adding different themeing to a boring coaster doesn't make it any better. it's just a boring ride, imo. it's also rough, which is amazing because the top speed only feels like 20mph! there wasn't any more or more interesting themeing than indi in paris, either. the only difference is you can see more of the ride from the park and que, and there is a firey waterfall on the park end of the ride which is a great photo opp. the japanese were all waiting in an orderly line to get their pics. i was hoping there would be a tunnel or a moment where you get wet or something that's a little different every time, but was unfortunately disappointed. the rest of disneysea is amazing, so it's not a big deal. journey to the center of the earth and 20,000 leagues are 2 of the coolest dark rides on the planet, that's for sure! has anyone else here ridden raging spirits? what did you think?

For some reason, Disney always spends an absurd amount of money on their rides. Of course much of it is theming, but if you're saying Raging Spirts doesn't have much theming, then why does Disney pay so much/Intamin charge so much?

Becasue they are in Japan, they have to pay absurd amounts of money to make sure it is earthquake proof or can stand up to earthquakes.

Disney still pays WAY to much for there rides. Not all rides in Japan are "earthquake proof", but Disney probaly got the most expensive "earthquake proofing" you can get, which I don't think they need all that much and they just wasted money. I'm saying this and my dad works for Disney, which would surprise Montu Man since he says I always stand up for Disney.
