Cedar Fair 2006 Additions/Changes

I've decided to compile a list of all the major attractions and changes that the Cedar Fair chain will be doing to their parks for the 2006 season. All the stuff I list is either confirmed or semi-confirmed and as more things are announced I will make changes to the list. Also, if you think I should add something let me know and I will do so.

Cedar Point & Soak City:

SkyHawk - 40 seat Screamin Swing (Confirmed)
Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom:

Wave Pool II (Confirmed)
Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingom:

Phase 2 of Wildwater Kingdom (Confirmed)
Knotts Berry Farm & Soak City Waterparks:

Nothing known at this time.
Michigan's Adventure:

Grand Rapids - 1,500 foot long rapids ride (Confirmed)
Coasters - 1950's style diner (Confirmed)
Vallleyfair!:

Xtreme Swing - 40 seat Screamin Swing (Confirmed)
Worlds of Fun & Oceans of Fun:

Patriot - Inverted Coaster (Confirmed)
Like I said, this is what has been either announced or hinted at this time and I will be making changes as more is known going through the 2005 offseason. If you need me to make any changes, give me a holler adn I will do so.

michigan's adventure is acually getting additions for 2006. they are getting a river rapids ride, another flat, restuarants, shops, entertainment, all on a new walkway behind the wildcat.

Define semi-confirmed. If it means something like El Toro was semi-confirmed before Wednesday, then it makes sense, but if it's just a very likely rumor, it's not confirmed. Even if it will happen, we don't know that yet.

Yeah, El Toro was kinda semi-confirmed because there was that German article and there was pieces on site and land clearing. Cedar Point has the top piece for a large scale Screamin Swing on site, so that's why I'm saying it's semi-confirmed until they give an official announcement.

Do you have any link to this information? This list isn't supposed to be a rumors list, just those additions that have either been confirmed or are extremely hinted right now. If I wanted it to be a rumors list, I would have added a lot more things, such as flat rides going to Geauga Lake and a new coaster for Cedar Point, but it's not. So if you can supply me a source that proves they are getting all of this, then I'd be glad to add it to the list.

I've updated the list with the now confirmed SkyHawk for Cedar Point and two new additions for Michigan's adventure. Check it out!

If anything else is confirmed I'll update the list again, if there are any corrections that need to be made, let me know and I'll change them.

I don't understand this. I thought that Michigans Adventure was only getting the river rapids ride, and the new restaurant. Where did the shops, entertainment, and the flat come into the picture?

Dorney is also getting a new food court, in place of the former gold mine buiding, which is being torn down.

The first new waterslide pieces for Knott's Soak City U.S.A.: Orange County arrived this week. Jack T. Falfas' successor, the new General Manager and Vice President of West Coast Operations, Greg Picon (was previously Knott's Soak City U.S.A.'s manager) had months ago confirmed the Orange County waterpark's first expansion since its opening in 2000. To date, a portion of the parking lot has been torn up to prepare for whatever is being introduced next season at the waterpark.
