Well, I searched but I couldn't find any topics...(except for one thats in the archive)

Anyways, I'm obviously with PCW on this one. It's the only one I've been to. I'm proud that KECO/Taft chose the mountain as the center piece. I like things unique when they're at PCW. The flats are awesome. The coasters are...OK...could be better...but they're still alright rides. The staff are awesome (most of the time) and the scenery (grass, trees, plants) are very well maintained, even on the grass that some of the rides are on.

My home park is PCW and I love it to death....but my favourite is Kings Island......because of:

Beast
Racer
Flight Of Fear

....and the fact my PCW pass works there :-)

I voted for Kings Dominion. It's like a perfect blend of Carowinds and Kings Island. PKD has the rides from PKI and the atmosphere of PC. I love it...

Just walking upto the Carowinds North Gate at 10am and watching Borg flip over the lake, reminds me of that evil song they repeat over and over at TG (can anyone name it lol...). The balance of coasters, the simple yet efficient path design, the revamps we've had, TG the Jet Coaster... sure there's a lack of flats, but there's a quality of 'park' I feel everytime I walk through its midways... Not to mention we've stolen the best rides from a few parks (Stealth from PGA and Flyers from PKI) which has really helped the park. The waterpark revamp doesn't look like much, but neither did Nick Central's last year, which turned into an amazing revamp, I spend at least 30% of my time at Carowinds in Nick Central now...

PKD has the best mix of them, and have the better rides and coasters. good atmosphere. I'd say PKD, but PC is a close second

Well, anyways... I think PCW could have more votes if people were able to actually get to Canada and visit the park. It's a pretty clean place.

But hey, at least I'm not stuck with PGA...;)

^ Exacly, most people on TN are farther South or out West so not many have visited PCW yet (myself included).

PKD is the best. It's an excellent park with a great variety, and i had a lot of fun when I went.

I know for me it was a difficult choice between the only two I have made it to as of now - Kings Dominion and Carowinds. I have been blessed to be living about the same distance from both parks. And as much as I love the staff at Carowinds, and the scenery....as a fan of the rides, I have to give it up to Kings Dominion. Dont get me wrong, Carowinds has some GREAT rides (love Top Gun, Cyclone, Vortex, and Borg), but when I go to Carowinds, I get the feeling the park is geared more toward the little kid than the older child, or the adult. And, as loving rides entirely, my vote has to be for Kings Dominion.

My takes:

Great America - lol, don't even take it into consideration.

Kings Island - I haven't been there, but it doesn't apeal to me too much. Delirium would be fun but other than that, none of the coasters interest me and I doubt any of the other flats are spectacular. The atmosphere? I doubt its all that great... but as I said I haven't been there.

Kings Dominion - Who would have thought that on a Sunday in March I would have came away from a park ticked. The coasters ranged from crappy to "fun, but not great". The flats were so-so, with only Tomb Raider standing out but it too could have been better (scratch that, the Carousel was pretty nice) but worst of all was the operations. They were slow and on a day with less than 5000 people in the park some of the lines were way to long. The atmosphere wasn't there for me, you can tell where too many trees have been removed and no trees + asphalt can become miserable. Don't even begin on the line jumpers (PKD seemed really bad for some reason, even on a light day)

Canada's Wonderland - um, at least I liked it a bit more than PKD (still in my "bottom 5" for parks). Fortunately, they had some really cool flats, and it was nice to see some rides that aren't too common. The roller coasters? Oh my God they sucked. My favorite coaster was the powered Mack, it was that bad. Nothing good going in that category. The coasters didn't seem to be cared for as well as they could be. The atmosphere stunk too: the themeing was aged and crappy. The whole park needs an overhaul, and though its the centerpiece of the park do something with the pos mountain! Plopping coasters in the middle of fields? LMAO! :rolleyes:

Carowinds - I actually liked this park. Not among my favorites, but it proved to me that there is such a thing as a nice Paramount park. The park is pretty well-kept and clean in appearence. I loved the new Nick Central, and the rest of the park was at least pleasant. The coasters were fairly good, including a couple good family ones and Top Gun (best Invert in my book) and BORG (better layout than Superman). The flats were well-rounded, with a couple of really good ones and a few ok ones. I wouldn't be ashamed if this was my home park unlike the other Paramount parks I've been to.

Oh, and as for food and staff, for the most part, they don't vary by park: both usually range from ok to poor. That's why I didn't mention them.

I vote for Carowinds.

^ Ok NOW I'm going to have to agree with PCW.

You don't need to summarize the voting every 5th post. People know how to go to the top of the thread and read the vote count.

I went with PKI because I haven't had the chance to visit some of the other Paramount Parks. However, I truly believe it to be among the best. Its a beautiful park that has an atmosphere I've been unable to find anywhere else.

Also, I love the fact that the park likes to go out on a limb and try new, innovative rides. Sure, some of them flop, like The Bat (arrow suspended prototype), but it allowed the design to be perfected. Others include:
King Cobra (Togo stand up - 1st in North America, which I hear was hands down better than PKD's Shockwave),
Vortex (1st coaster to feature six inversions)
The Beast
Son of Beast (I agree - its horrible, it should have the same fate as The Bat)
Delirium (1st Huss Giant Frisbee and awesome ride!)
Tomb Raider:The Ride (I love this ride more every time I ride it - 1st and only Huss Giant Top Spin)
Drop Zone (1st gyro drop in the states, tallest gyro drop in the world)
FOF (first LIM coaster - shared that status with PKD)

Not discounting some of the other parks unique attractions, but PKI has a lot of firsts. I can't wait until I have the time to visit some of the other PP's. I think they each have something different to offer.

Yay!

You can't really do much with it as it's not strong enough to hold up anything else.

WOW!

PKD = 6
PKI = 5
PC = 6
PGA = 0
PCW = 2

PKD and PC are in the lead with 6!!

I was at PKD last Saturday. My complaints are always the same - staff and vandalism. It's my only paramount park to date, so I won't vote.

What's everyone's beef with PGA though? I think the thought of riding something named Grizzly that's landscaped with palm trees seems pretty interesting?

I was commenting to the votes... I wasn't trying to tell you people...

Anyways, if I didn't explain much, the reason why I like pkd so much are 4 main rides that gets my attention witch is Tomb Raider: Firefall @ #1, Volcano, The Blast Coaster @ #2, Flight of Fear @ #3, & Grizzly @ #4! I love all the rides but as you know, I have been on Tomb Raider: Firefall over 30 times this season!:D

Kings Dominion is the only one I've been to and it probobly has the best coasters in the chain. I thought Hypersonic's lauch was incredible and Flight of Fear was very good. But, the best thing there was Volcano and it is my favorite coaster. I wish I could have gone on Firefall, but when I was in the Congo area when the park first opened it was not ready to run yet(I give my thanks to the wonderful Paramount staff).

I've only ever been to PGA, which isn't saying much and doesn't really raise my opinion of Paramount parks. :(

^^ I think the mountain looks great in the centre of the park.

As for the park looking dated, you gota be kidding. While PCW isnt my favourite Paramount Park (thats PKI), PCW is one of the best looking parks out there. The landscaping and scenery are excellent. You sure you're not thinking of our poor cousin, SFDL? ;-)

Yes sir, right away sir!
And while we're at it, let's also get rid of the eiffle towers and double decker carousel because we all know a centerpeice for a park (and the company) doesnt deserve to be there when a new ride can.:rolleyes:

I would also like to know what your definition of dated is? PCW does an awesome job at keeping the landscaping, flowers, and scenery in top notch condition. You must be thinking about SFDL.
