What would disappoint you?

I'm currious to get your opinion as both a coaster enthusiast (I'm kinda assuming if your reading this post you're probably an enthusiast) and what you think the GP would think.

If you were to go a park what rides and other stuff would the park definitely need to have for you not to leave the park it had something else?

I once somewhere (I'd give credit if I knew who to credit) that a complete park should have the something like the following coasters:
((Sorry my computer hiccuped))

a hyper
an inverted
a woodie
a looper
a nonlooping, low height coaster for families
a kiddie coaster

In addition certain other rides might be necessary not be disappointed:

a spin and puke ride
a ferris wheel?
a carousel?
a steam train?
a kiddie section/kiddie rides
a drop tower of some type?
a dark ride?
a simulator?
water rides?
a water park?
animals? (in deferance to the new RCT expansion pack)

Also, the following may be desired by enthusiats or the GP:

shows
good food
good shops
good facilities
good scenery/landscaping/theming
good staff
good parking
good prices

Also, back to the coasters:

how necessary is it for the park to have a Beemer for you or the GPnot to disappointed?
how about a launched coaster?
or, a shuttle coaster?

Also, are there any specific types of coasters or other rides that you want to see or think the GP would want to see not to go away wishing for more? Of course, some might say that enthusiats easy anwer for how many coasters do they want is always MORE, but my experience is sometimes it seems like that isn't always the case. (The park that first springs to mind, imo, is SFFT which after talking to a number of people there I get the impression they really don't want to add to much more to a park which they seem to thinks is already pretty special.)

Thanks for your comments.

Well, for one, it's not necessary for a park to have a B&M for it to be good. DisneyWorld doesnt have one, and I still love it.

Anyways, I'd say in ideal park has:
Coasters:
2 woodies (1 out and back, 1 twister)
a looper
some kind of inverted ride (SLC or inverted)
A shuttle coaster (Impulse, boomerang, GIB, etc)
2 kiddie coasters
Mine Train

Flat Rides:
Carousel
Drop Ride/Space Shot
Dark Ride
3D simulator
Frisbee
Top Scan
Car Ride
Go karts

Water Rides:
Rapids Ride
Shoot-the-Chutes

Misc:
2 good eat in restaurants
Lots of junk food stands (fries, sandwhiches, nachos, ice cream, anything on a stick, drinks, etc)
At least 1 family show
At least one other type of show
a few souvenir shops (1 of which on the main midway)
Good kiddie area with lots of rides for familys

Im sure I could think of more things, but I'm getting lazy

Well, gee, I guess that Holiday World isn't a complete park then since it only had 2 wood coasters and a hand full of flat rides.

Or Bonfante Gardens since it only has a mine train and a family zierer coaster.

Both parks, btw, that I easily spent a full day at and didn't feel bored or that I was stretching it out.

It's not how many or what kind of rides that makes a park complete for me. It's the entire package, and it doesn't matter if the package is a small one. As long as it's one where care for those coming through the gates is shown.

I'm not saying that Holiday World isnt a complete park. I've never been there, but from pictures it looks like an awesome and complete park.
He just asked for our opinions on a good variety of attractions at a park in our heads, I gave him just that.

No one really said they wanted a clean park. Also, every park can't afford all of those things you guys listed above. Some small parks are a great experience and only have a couple of coasters.

The title of this is a little confusing because I'm not dissapionted when a park doesn't have all of that junk slydoc listed. I don't think there is one park or there is very few that have everything he listed in the first post. This thread should be called "Dream Park" or something.

Vekomahang - The whole idea of my post was to find out what people think are the essentials that they absolutely must have. I wasn't trying to describe what I thought that park had to have, but rather just give some ideas to spark some people's thoughts to suggest what they thought a park needs. I think if you'll recheck my post I didn't once say I thought a park had to have, but rather the park "might have" to be considered not to be missing something. And, yes some might think the post is a "dream park" post, but those posts essentially ask people to come up the longest list possible, even if the rides are really not necessary to eleminate feelings of "gosh, I really missed such and such". I was hoping to see what people REALLY would miss if the park didn't have it. It's good to see the variety (which I sort of expected) from Wild and Sir Willow. Some people want a lot of variety and others not so much, cool.

Holiday World isn't a complete park. No Carousel means not a complete park.

a complete park in my eyes has
at least 1 woody
a looping coaster
a famliy coaster like a wild mouse
a hyper for thrill seekers
and either a inverted a floorless or stand up coaster

for the children
a themed kids area
with a small coaster
a couple minor rides
like a feris wheel and CAROSEL

for the family
2 log flumes
1 chute da chute
a themed water ride
and a waterslide

plus
great workers
clean vacinties
not to mention but the park must be well themed an have good shows
that sounds about right

I don't really go to parks for certian coasters but i do tend to pan vacations to parks with alot of them (more than 6) to give me something to do the entire day. The only exceptions to that 6 coaster rule is Holiday World & Dollywood but i really want to visit those parks.

As long has there's enough to do in a 10-12 hour day then i'm pretty happy. I just hate gooing to park at 10am and by 2pm i have rode everything.

Yeah i guess i could just ride everything over and over.
