What parks did you visit this summer?

I didn't go out of Ohio at all except for our trip to Williamsburg. BGW was a wonderful park though.

In addition to BGW in July, here is a list of my parks. The number next to each park indicates how many times I visited.

Cedar Point--3 (May, June--Coastermania, October)

PKI--6 (April, May--IJ Media Day, June, July, Sept, Oct) I hope to go back on Nov. 5. Since I was a season pass holder this year, PKI sent me a coupon for a free ticket for a friend or family member that last weekend.

Wyandot Lake--1 (I took my Elementary aged youth group there in August.) I hope SF sells this to someone who can expand it!)

Geauga Lake--1 (Went in August. There is a definite change in atmosphere since CF took over. It is definitely for the better. I hope to go back next year to see the completed WWK.)

I probably will not get a season pass for CP or PKI next year. I am going to save my $$ for a road trip to Holiday World and Indiana Beach. Maybe Beech Bend as well. I hope LeSourdsville Lake will open again, but I am not holding my breath.

Your turn. Where did you go this summer?

Sadly, only 2 parks for me.

SFGrAdv - twice (once in May, the other this past Sunday)
Finally rode Ka....loved it...better launch than Dragster.

BGT - Sheikra was a great ride

Hard to get out to the parks as you get older, and have to raise a family.

Just two for me this year.- Cedar Point for Coastermania, and Multiple trips to Indiana beach, including the Birthday bash.

Next year, we're gonna TRY to get to PKI, since it's been about 8 years since I've been.

We also have definite plans to do Coastermania again, as well as hit Holiday World to ride Legend (Are you listening, Wes?!?!?)

I dunno, maybe I'm wierd, but I won't consider it visiting a park if I get there and the park is closed. Doesn't really count- at least for me.

In any case, places I visited this year:
BGT
IOA
Universal Studios Florida
Sea World Orlando
BGW
Myrtle Beach Pavilion
Cypress Gardens
SFAW
Old Town

Six Flags Great Adventure - June 28
Six Flags Great America - July 11
Busch Gardens Williamsburg - July 26
Six Flags Great Adventure - August 10

I'm going to try to get Knott's or Sea World San Diego if I got to San Diego again this winter. But it'll be tough to convince my mom.

I went to Dorney nearly every day ;)

I went to Cedar Point, and it was great.

Hershey: I went to hershey and finally got to ride storm runner, that was nice. That place has some awesome gcis and I love them alot.

Kennywood: Truly a must see park, one awesome park. I love it alot. Definitely the classic wooden coaster capital of the world. In addition to that, Phantom's Revenge made it's mark as my 2nd best coaster. I love this park and I hope to visit it again soon.

Geauga Lake: Ok park. Dominator was awesome, but the rest of the park was mediocre. It really needs alot of work. Villain and Raging Wolf Bobs could be great if they had PTC trains, but they have junky gerstlauer trains.

Knoebel's: I love this park. Phoenix and Twister are 2 awesome coasters. All of the classic rides are great, and the scenery is beautiful.

^I got into all of those parks for free! :)

In addition to all of those parks, I went to all the Disney Parks.

Those parks are 500 miles (8hrs) apart. How in God's name are they both your home park?

I got to a lot of parks this year (for me). I'll do highlight and low points at most parks.

Dorney Park (opening Day, 4 other times). Good: Crowds were light. Bad: Hydra was not all I hoped it would be.
Cedar Point (May 12-14). Good: TTD was awesome! Bad: Millenium Force was closed all but an hour that I was there; I did not get a ride.
Paramount King's Island (May 14-15). Good: Beast was worth the trip. Bad: Italian Stunt Job (made the soft opening) Ugly (and hilarious!!!): Son of Beast.
Geauga Lake (May 16). Good: Three wooden coasters in one day. Bad: Migraine all day, before I ever got on a ride.
Hersheypark (???). Awesome park. Nothing bad, except I only got to go once this year.
Clementon Park (July 21). Good: J2 is one of the best wooden coasters ever built. Bad: Only one open coaster, Jack Rabbit is still closed.
Knoebels (July 29). Good: Phoenix and Twister were awesome. Bad: Absolutely nothing.
Williams Grove Park (September 3). Absolutely horrifying: Cyclone. Most memorable coaster ride ever.
