Today I heard on the radio some rather disturbing news from an amusement park very near me. Two girls of the ages of 12 and 11 were molested at SFWOA yesterday July 4. The 12 year old girl was molested in the Wave Pool and the 11 year old girl was molested near Looney Toon's Boom Town. The park also believes there other children molested too. I knew this park had problems but that is the lowest of the low. Tell you the truth I wouldn't feel real safe there now.

If this really happened, I would think I'd see it on the news about how "Theme parks are unsafe" and Mr. Markey adding this to his anti-coaster bill effort. However, if it really did happen, I wouldn't go there thats for sure.

Alot of times, families try to keep molestation and rape stories very private and local because often a media blitz traumatizes the people attacked more than if there wasn't so amny people involved.

I have found a little bit more information about this incident, this incident happened on July 3 not the July 4, my fault. They have released the name of the molester. His name is Carl Atherton, if found guilty he will be put in jail for four years. Six Flags has released a press realease about this incident. If I find a link I will put it on here.

Molested? Aren't there a lotta people at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure? Geez, that really sucks. They probably got molested in an isolated place. That's really scary 'cause it may happen to other theme parks. So to all you gals out there, buy a punching bag to practice your hits incase some pervert out there tries to get you. That's really bad but they're are a lot of people out there with problems like this. I mean it could happen anywhere but you hate to see it happen.

I remember hearing about this in the news about this time last year at SFGAM. A 8 year old girl was on the merry-go-round or some ride like that when it happened. It shocks me because I was at SFWOA on July 3rd.

Something similar to this happened at SFKK, an employee raped another employee, and yes this is true I saw it on Channel 9, Cincinnati news.

This is truly a sad and twisted story. Personally I think this guy should be pursecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This stuff shouldn't happen ever, let alone in a place that people associate having fun at. Sad thing is...how many little girls didn't come forward because of the embarrassment, and how long has this sick man been doing this??? I am not one to believe that he just got up one day and said "hey I think I will grope some children at the park today." He's probably been doing this a long time which simply shows he needs some serious actions taken against him. Sick pervert. <IMG SRC="/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_evil.gif">

This is a sad story. How can you blame the park? They are not responsible for how their guests act. We could go on about how the parents should have been near or a lifeguard should have noticed, but the park could not have prevented it. It is just sad that people will think about going to SFWOA because of this icolated incident.

I have a 5 year old daughter and if someone did this same thing to her I would be going to jail after I get my hands on the molester.
