We're not necessasarily saying they're stupid. I don't mind if they mistake a coasters name or something. But when they make up the most ridiculous information, and then believe themselves, thats annoying. You've got to admit that some guests do some pretty stupid things, like asking if a ferris wheel goes upside down or when the 3:00 parade is.

PS About your grammar comment... your grammar isn't any better, so don't complain.

SFWOA employee - The Rapids Ride(acting confused)
Me- Yeah, your Rapids Ride, do you know how to get to the entrance
SFWOA Employee - Ummmm, I dont think we have a Rapids Ride here
Me - Yes, you do, It says so on your map, Its one of your Water Rides
SFWOA Employee - Are you Sure, Let me Look on your Map
Me - Sure, here ya go(hands him the map) Its that ride, The Grizzly Run I think its Called.
SFWOA Employee - Oh Right, that One, I didnt think we had a Rapids Ride
Me - So do you know how to get to the entrance
SFWOA Employee - Sorry, I really dont know.
Me - OK, Thanks, I will find it on my own.
SFWOA Employee - OK

Now Please, Could this Employee be anymore STUPID, not knowing you have a Rapids Ride(Granted, he could have been a new employee) but I think thats no excuse, you should still know you have a Rapids Ride, I couldnt believe how DUMB he was, He was acting very serious as if SFWOA didnt have a Ride like that and he was acting as if he didnt know anything about the entire park. Now I ask you, Do Six Flags employee People like this at all their parks?????I hope not

Oh well, just had to share it with you all.
I admit that the guy's dumb for not knowing about the ride but why didn't you just look on the map if you had one on you? It seems like that's the reason that they make em but......

You obviously didnt read my post very Well, It was actually my first ever visit to SFWOA, so I honestly didnt know exactly how to get to the entrance for the ride, I was over by Raging Wolf Bobs and could see part of the ride, so I thought it was around that area(I didnt realise I had to walk right round the other ride) I did actualy look on the map which I had, but I was stil a bit confused as to which way to go, so I asked a member of staff which didnt really help, I eventually found the correct way to go, but it still took me a little while.

I don't know as much about coasters as 1/2 the people on this site but you've got to admit that you've got something wrong with you if you can't tell that a water ride goes upside down. Also, if one of your main objections against people is their grammar, well... don't read public forums. We're not writing for money or anything.

After we leftwe got to the veyr very top of the hill and of course the train stops. the guy behind us said "last time this happened the train derailed into the lake and everybody died". This got me 4x as scared, but it finally went after about 2 minutes. Boy was i scared

I have a few:
*First, for anyone who doesn't know, Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce is built on very steep terrain so it does not go more than 30 or 40 feet above the ground...

Anyway, when I was on Boulder Dash going up the lift, a guy behind me, sounding very serious and scared said:
"Oh, man, this is NOT the ride to go on if you're afraid of heights!"

Also, when in line for Boulder Dash:
"I heard this was the tallest and longest roller coaster in the United States!"
"Yeah, I heard something like that too. But you can't trust that, EVERY park says stuff like that about their rides."

Some kids at Great Escape were afraid to go on the Comet because it "jumped off the track on the hills."

A few years ago (early '99 when Gwazi was under construction) when we were at BGT, we started talking to this lady who was very friendly, but, obviously, did not know much about coasters:
"They're building this new ride too. It's like a roller coaster but it's made out of wood."

I was at gadv i have heard a few things but ive also seen stupid things happen. Like some kid threw a basketball on the GASM track in the station and held up the line for like 20 minutes while they tried to get it off.

ROFL! Was he stuck when you pulled the bar down on his head? That must have hurt.

All the time i hear people from probably Alabama talking about Deja vu(it wasnt opened at the time) And they said that they arent going to ride it because they heard it crashed. I think that they didnt even have the trains on the track yet when that lady said it. It is also funny when people ask you if that park has other rides from another park. They have something called a park map......mabe they should use it.

At Six flags over georgia, I had just gotten off the scream machine, and i went over to look at the viper (at the time it was being dismantled and the two inclines were obviously not there) and i over heard these two people beside me asking a game person why they weren't letting people ride the viper! I mean, come on, some people have no common sense!!!

Here are more things I've heard or heard about. A lot of these are from Disney World:

"Don't you need to pass a physical test to ride Test Track??"

"Is that water real?" or "Are those real ducks?" or "Those birds look so real!" (all were obviously real)

"Where is the Tower of Terror?" (standing RIGHT in front of it, and its something you really can't miss)

"THATS a monorail?? big deal!" (referring to a BUS pulling up)

"That loop on space mountain was great!"

"This place is TOO crowded! They should only allow a few people in!"

"Wow! I can't believe George W. Bush is here TODAY!!" A guest outside the Hall of Presidents

"Hey son, thats the ride you were concieved on!"

"Lets get our passports ready, we're about to enter World Showcase" - a family at Epcot (obviously, you don't need passports!)

Conceived on the ride? Uh... how exactly...

It's funny when people ask about rides that aren't in the park. My friend's brother (who was with us at SFOG) asked where the Superman ride was (No, he's not a coaster person, and this was back in July...) I told him that he must be confused, there's no Superman ride here...

(I also wondered where he had heard of it... )

I was standing in line at scorcher at SFOG. 3or4 black teenagers come up and start yelling "******* you lady" over and over again. when the guy at the gate came told them to stop they said "you ain't no cop yet" after they left a cop did come and we told the cop.

i also saw some people get caught sneaking into SFOG

in line for scream machine at SFOG. a kid and his mom are getting seated. the kid is looking worried. suddenly he goes into a fit saying that he is scared and he really doesn't want to go on the ride. the mom is sitting there saying "you are going to ride this ride!" finally the mom gives in and they exit off to the other side.

my friend and i were going on dalonaga mine train at SFOG. it is their weakest ride, but we figured why not there is no line. after we went down the first drop i started screaming really loud(but really sarcastically) i turn around and this little girl behind me (9 or 10) goes "haha you're scared!" my friend and i started laughing and didn't stop until like 20 min after the ride ended.

If anyone has ever read the "Mouse Tales" series by David Koenig, then you'll know ALL about the sex that goes on in Disneyland, particularly on Grad Nites. On dark rides like Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain, there's stories of people undressing as they get in the car. There's actually a story in there about a guy that just stood outside of a ride that closed down(I think it's where Star Tours is now) with his son because he'd waited for like 10 years to show him where he was concieved.

Haha, I thought I was the only one... it was on the Space Shot at Plaza Sesamo, though. I was 12 at the time, and I was tuned out of the coaster world... even though I knew a lot about coasters back then. (it's a long story)

Then the mother said "JUST THROW HIM ON, JUST THROW HIM ON!" Some parents! they eventually gave in. Poor kid.

Yup, and what the people don't realize is, Disney has security cameras ALL over the dark rides, so they are basically being watched the whole time!

I just keep getting more of these. Yesterday my mom and I were eating at Olive Garden. We were talking about Spring Break and what parks I wanted to go to. The conversation went something like this: Me: "I really want to go to SFMM to ride X"
Her: " I want to go to Universal again to ride that dark space coaster
Me: "You mean Space Mountain?"
Her: "Yeah, that one"
Me: "That's at Disneyland"
Her: "Nuh-uh! Really? The one with stars and stuff?"
Me: "Yeah Mom. That was at Disneyland in Tommorowland with the rockets and crap. Jurassic Park was the one at Universal"
Her: "Oh. That place sucked except for when I had a margarita and won that giant Garfield"
Me: "Ummmmm...."

It's in "Mouse Tales", no fooling. They also had a story of a couple who asked on Grad Nite, "How long is this ride?" The ride operator replied "20 minutes" for the 8 minute ride (Adventures Through Inner Space) so the couuple hops in the car and starts going at it. At the end, they turn on the lights and everyone starts staring at the half-/whole-naked couple trying to get their clothes on.

Yeah I have both books. I also talk with David from time to time. I dont think Space Mountian was one of the places.

This one time some kid told me to put my stuff in the water park lockers at PKI and then said to go get it when the park closed. Well stupidly enough I listened to him and it turned out those lockers were $10 and the water park closed at 7 so I couldn't get my close out. So that was a stupid thing to say and a stupid thing to listen. I will never listen to what coasterfanman21 has to say again (he was the one that told me to do that)

One time I was on a ride, I can't remember which, at BGT. Someone claimed that the Scorpion was the best ride in the park!
