golden ticket awards

where do they announce the golden ticket awards? Or is it completely over the internet? I was wondering because I'm going to CP on Sunday, and I remmeber seeing a picture of someone giving a golden ticket at CP behind MF. Do they anounce it at the park that won best park last year? ecause that'd be CP... idk, it'd be really cool to be there for that. I kinda need to know fast cuz I'm leaving tommorow, so please answer. Thanks!

This year they're doing it at Holiday World.

Everytime I ride a coaster, it valleys. I've never been on a stalled coaster or had one roll back (except Wicked Twister and what was Superman: Ultimate Escape, which does that by design).

I think Voyage will have to wait a year since Thunderhead is a repeat winner as the best wooden coaster. I guess the crowning of a new woodie will have to wait.

Superman:Ride of Steel at SFNE is the new Steel Coaster King

Check the link above since they are now posted.

^As for what catergories do you mean? or do you mean all of it? I'm surprised more aren't talking about Thunderhead beating the Voyage.

I wouldn't be. It states its case quite well. Superman rocks.

I would like to thank Thunderhead as well.

Having ridden both, I have no idea why Thunderhead can beat Voyage. Thunderhead is a great coaster, but the only thing I like better about TH is that the station fly-through isn't behind glass like Voyage.

I don't understand how El Toro could make the best new ride list(#3), and be totally left out of the top 10 wood list. Out of the 10 listed I have rode only Beast, Phoenix, and Lightning Racer. El Toro is a much better ride than any of those. IMO

Best new Ride of 2005 - Waterpark
Bahari River at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari

^WTF?
There are much better lazy rivers around. I dont think it was enough all that great!

I say in ten years Holiday world will have sucked so much booty among enthusiests that it will win ALL awards in the list..

P.S. I have road both thunderhead and voyage as well and I love them both. I dont care who won as long as one of them did!

Some of the coasters did not rank as high as I think they should have. Balder at #29? I don't think so. That is proof that Mitch Hawkers poll is a bit better.

I am happy that S:ROS won. That is a great ride. Thunderhead must be an awesome ride.
