From what I've been to, probably SFGAM. All of the buildings and rides are in good shape, and almost all the rides are open. In fact the only time I saw Deja vu closed was back in 2002, and I've been to the park 17 times in the last two years. The staff is great, and they keep the crowd entertained especially those waiting to board Viper.

Any Disney park. And then Busch and Universal following closely behind.

You should also contribute to your own thread, instead of only asking a question and nothing else.

Cedar Point is by far the best run park! They have large profits, as well as good ride placement allowing them to expand for years to come.

Following close behind are the other Cedar Fair parks as well as the Busch Adventure Parks (Busch Gardens and Sea World).

The WORST run parks are by far the Six Flags chain.

Again! A correction is in order!: "Whick park do you guys think is run or kept up the best?"

I'm sorry to be this way about it, but that is about my number one pet peeve. It drives me completely insane.

As for the purpose of this thread...
The Busch parks get my vote here. The staff is friendly, the parks are clean, and the rides run well.

Excuse me for not being an English major!!!
But my vote from the ones I have been to which is Hershey, Lakemont, and PKD, I would say Hershey. Its been about 3 years since I have been there but all the rides were in good condition, the food was good, and the staff were very pleasant. Any mistakes I made, PLease forgive me STEEL oh did I forget a comma?

It all depends on what you mean by best kept. I love Cedar Point but it's not the best kept. Their can be different votes for different things. Cleanest would be one, rides not breaking down, Freindly staff, and ride placement. So each one should be their own. So all together my vote is SFGAM.

Coaster_Holic: Ok, seriously, Steel was explaining that your grammar was incorrect. Instead of getting all defensive about his help, you could have learned from your mistake and moved on. Second of all, your last post should have been included in your original post with starting the thread.

My input would go like this as far as this thread is concerned. I honestly see smaller corporations such as (Herco, KWE) and family runned parks are much more maintained with keeping their guests happy and satisfied to keep coming back for more.

I have had the worst experiences at SF and CF parks that just makes me believe that smaller parks will eventually come over top of the corporations. It is all about customer service to me, and I didn't receive that at any corporate parks, including Cedar Point.

You don't have to major in English to know proper grammar. I wasn't even BORN in american and English isn't even my first language, yet I even noticed that mistake. But going back onto topic. I love Six Flags to death but I definetly think they could run it a little better. Hopefully this year's budget will improve both employement and the overall atmosphere of their parks. Other than that, every company technically runs their parks good. It's more so how well parks individually are run.

Cedarpoint is definately run the best. Great staff, rides, food, poeple. Of course it is very very clean. The only bad part about it is, it is kind of hard to find ride entrances, the map is not very detailed. It'd be nice if they had some smaller landmrks.

Anyone who says Cedar Point is the best run park is proving how much the park is overrated.

I would have to say that both Busch Gardens' parks were very well run. When I went to Busch Gardens Tampa all the rides were running well, without long lines, as well as the coasters at Williamsburg. The staff was very friendly and courteous and I had a great day. I think all of this can go for Cedar Point as I had a great day there also; And saying that Cedar Point is run well doesn't make it over rated, it's all a matter of opinion.

I'm not saying I dont like Cedar Point, nor am I saying it isnt run well. I am saying there are other parks that do MUCH better at running their parks than Cedar Point does. I had a great time at the park, but there were things that I saw that wouldn't have happened at parks like Disney.

The Disney parks are well kept but lack seriously in the thrill ride department. They rely heavily on kiddie attractions and heavy theming whereas a park like Cedar Point does little theming, but uses the land for thrill rides. Cedar Point also uses their land in a way so that they can accomodate thrill riders and kids, Disney keeps it pretty much kiddie with a couple thrill rides here and there like Mission: SPACE.

What's your point? Disney is a family company and they don't rely on kiddie rides. They rely on quality (for the most part) attractions that the whole family can enjoy together. It doesnt mater how thrilling the rides are, because the parks are not aimed only towards thrillseeking teenagers. And it shouldn't make a difference on how well you think a park is run based on their thrill ride factor.

Many of you don't seem to grasp the concept of a well run park. You shouldn't say a place isn't run well becasue they don't have enough thrill rides or because they have great coasters. The thrill factor should be the least of your worries when judging how well a place is run. You should judge instead on the quality of the attractions (rides, shows, games). How well the buildings and other structures in the park are kept up in terms of maintenance, how clean it is, how friendly the staff is, how well the rides and attractions are being maintained, etc.

Valleyfair is run well, but I think Holiday World is run way better. The staff and rides are always great!

Disney is very good at all of the above^. They have a great assortment of family rides, friendly staff, most of the buildings look like they were built yesterday, and when you enter the park it gives you a happy sensation inside. Personally I think Disney is run very well.

Williamsburg is by far one of the best kept parks ever. Beautifull scenery, they don't take their sweet a** time atthe resturants with the lines, and a friendly staff to boot! CP in second. Their good with with the paintjobs(Maggie,Iron Dragon.) When's Raptor/Mantis due for one anyway? followed by IOA in 3rd.

Not to be starting a, "My Horse Is Bigger Than Your Horse" round, but Dollywood is great at all of the stuff stated above. when you go to a resturant theres hardly to no waiting. The rides are great as well, and really reliable! The themeing of each area is awesome! And all the staff is really, really friendly, they make you feel like family!

IT depends on what you mean by "ran the best". Disney, Dollywood, Knoebels and a few other parks come to mind for various aspects of operations...

If Disney is the best run park how come Cedar Point, and the Cedar Fair properties have won the most awards for games, rides, and not to mention top honor as Best Amusement Park In The World for 9 Years.

That distinction is bestowed upon the park by the awards given out by Amusement Today. When those awards are sent out to vote, many of them go out to members of various coaster clubs including ACE.

Most of the time, when the Golden Tickets are given out it is by enthusiast opinion. They are quite biased most of the time and fairly unaccurate.

This is why I don't think the Golden Tickets are not a reliable source when it comes to being the best park. Just because Cedar Point is voted best park for 9 years doesn't mean the general population or the experts in the business necessarily agree with that statement.

Thats true. Best park really does come down to a personal opinion basis, whether you like high dollar thrill rides, like Cedar Point, or mostly family friendly rides such as the Disney parks.

I think that Dollywood is ran the best, reasons:

-The mix thrills with family rides very well.
-There food is awesome.
-Offer great deals for families.
-They keep there host happy so they always are nice and friendly to the guest.
-They have fabulous award winning shows.
-They have come up with five great festivals that attract many different visitors from around the world that may have not come to Dollywood and the Smoky Mountain area with out them.
-Dollywood is always stays up-to-date on the latest rides, foods, merchandise etc. but yet still keep that down home feel that has made them so popular over there last 21 seasons.
-Does not cater to the few and actually says "Merry Christmas".
-There park is always clean and beautiful with hundreds of thousands of flowers.
-Does great things for the area and the environment through many different programs including there work with the eagle foundation, chestnut tree foundation, etc.
-And much more that I can't think of right now.

Compare the number of people Disney handles compared to any other park and tell me they're lacking...
