Is this a theme park?

http://media.www.utahstatesman.com/m...n-998084.shtml

It's an old article, but I found it interesting that S&S has an official them park right by their assembly plant in Utah. You can sample all the crazy rides that are too scary for parks to buy. Does that mean they should list this in the database as a real park? I mean, Europa Park is a ride company's park too.

Its a fun little place that has some rides, kinda a place to show off a few of S&S rides. They had a swing, boom and insane ride, putt putt, gocarts and I think they were going to add a frogger hopper and a couple other S&S products. The tallest ride is Sonic Boom its a wild contraption. I have photos of the park and a video on mysite.

Yes it is probably considered an amusement park. Or however places like Fun spots or any of the road side parks that have a few thrill rides and such are classified.. .

No. When I was there we were on a special tour event with a coaster club. They selected about 20 of some 100 people. The ride is 360 feet tall and does 90 + MPH. There is a button you have to push to release the car. It is a wild contraption and a blast to watch.

No brakes just air stops the falling car inside the tube. It does make a sonic boom sound. I was told the stop is smoth but quick.

Here is a tread about Boomer and a tread about my trip to the S&S facilities and park.

^That is got to be an awesome, virtually maintenance free ride (without brakes, it would have to be fairly efficient). I couldn't imagine the thrill of having to push a button to release the car... it would kinda be like pulling the cord on a skycoaster... just on a much larger level.

Well I will tell you one little secret I learned from an S&S person.
If you ever get to ride the ride or anyone for that matter.
Push the button just before you get to the top. It is said to provide a more air floating sensation because the car will still rise a little even though its not on the lift cable. I was told it makes the ride alot better.
I am guessing the park is fully operational. I havent been back. I may try to go to Utah again this year to ride Wicked. Not sure if I would even ride Boomer. I dont really like drop rides that much, I will ride em but dont care for them.

I believe TPR went here as well. It's not theme park A theme park has multiple themed areas, normally 6 of them. This is more of a road side attraction or you could say it's a themed park since the park revolves around there rides. good marketing move though. Some one wants to buy your ride you fly them in and show off the ride they want but also give them an opportunity to see other attractions.

It's a pay per ride park. I was looking at it, and it costs $5 per ride, and $10 to go on the tower. Pretty pricey!

Well, S&S makes a lot of the slingshot and skycoaster type rides that are extra pay at theme parks anyway. Five bucks to ride the sling shot is pretty cheap.
