Astroland Amusement Park closing?

Please forgive me if this is old, but I haven't kept up with and Amusement Park Industry news lately.

Well in my local news paper under the "brief section" it has a little article stating that Astroland Amusement Park will close at the end of the year.

Yes, Astroland is closing, being replaced with a new hotel and supposedly some new rides. However, the Cyclone is supposed to remain, as well as the Wonder Wheel, and something else, but I forget what it is.

I dont get your post.
are you trying to say you disagree that Astroland is a landmark
or
are you trying to say you disagree that a landmark like Astroland is closing?

If the latter is the case then what I think you mean is...
"That's stupid, that place is like a landmark, oh well"

A comma makes all the difference.

So this has been known that Astroland is closing, or did the decision just happen recently? Is there some sort of official document? So Cyclone is to stay put?

So, is Cyclone still in tact in the concept drawing? I might have to check out the rendering. I thought maybe there would be a topic on this, or news in the home page, but I guess not. Unless I missed it.

Cyclone is still intact. it's a historical land mark so it has to remain. same with the Wonder wheel. This really sucks though I don't trust thore Equities and this new project. I see a death to Coney island as an amusement area.

The Rides re up for sale on Ital and Rides-4-U.

By the way, I believe the Parachute Drop will also still be there, but I could be mistaken.
