Info about Season pass for UK visitor

Hello all

I have a couple of questions about Season passes for Six Flags and Cedar Fair for a trip I am planning next year from the UK. It would be cheaper for me to buy passes for both companies as I will be visiting multiple parks.

I have tried purchasing them but both companies only accept US addresses. I now have 2 choices:

1. I have a good friend in NY and I may be able to use his address and bank details to buy my passes.
2. I buy the passes at the first park I visit next year in person.

I have a couple of questions about what I should do:

1. Would the season pass be valid if I did number (1) as I wont be living at the address that bought the passes? To put it another way, do you need to provide proof of address or do you just state your name and get your photo taken?
2. From experience, which way would you buy the tickets? Before I go delivereed to my freinds or as I travel when I make the trip?

Thanks everyone.

We had the same problem this year when we wanted a Six Flags Season ticket. In the end we bought the tickets at the park, it is pretty painless and even though there was a slight problem with us putting a UK Address into their computers, a helpful employee quickly put us right.

Thanks for the reply :-)

Nice to know I will be able to get Season Passes even if I can't get them before I set off. I just like having everything planned before I go!

I have asked direct to CF and SF to see what they have to say.

Cheers

You probably will surprise them but they'll probably be able to accomodate you. It'll be just like when I went to the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio in its first year and presented an old fashioned traveler's cheque to the admission booth guy. He was surprised but they managed to figure out what to do.

Happy a good trip on our side. I hope to switch and make it over there sometime.
