Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom-Mega Wedgie, Mega Wedgie is the newest ride at SFKK

What is going on here. Mega Wedgie, another water ride, just what we need. Is SFKK still going to replace a ride where Superman Tower of Power still stands.

2008 - Mega Wedgie - (1/16/08) Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom has announced that they will add a new waterslide this season called Mega Wedgie. The new slide will be located across from Hook’s Lagoon near Deluge and will be a large Bowl style slide where pairs of tube riders will descend down a 100 foot long tunnel that will drop them into a large 30 foot wide bowl where they will spin around until dropping down a small chute in the center that will deposit them in the splashdown pool.

What do you all think will happen, 2 rides in the same year? Fingers crossed!!!

I have one of these rides at my local water park. Except the one at my park is actually themed. They are fun but it didn't do much to raise their attendance so I don;t see it as a huge thing for SFKK or TGE.

Thing is with one ride coming out they should be getting a new flat ride.

It depends on what the parks attendance is for it's waterpark. If the waterpark is over crowded day after day then it would be a much needed addition.

Carowinds waterpark has about doubled in size over the last few years cause it's always so over crowded.

They pulled out a flat ride to expand the waterpark before. It was a rare varient that was TopSpin like. I'm glad SFKK is still changing on the interior. This is work to be done there but also only so much they could do there with the space.

Thats what Carowinds did. They removed the looping star ship that was takeing up way too much land for the size flat it was and it opened up alot of space for the waterpark.

I just wish Carowinds would invest in a large bowl slide like SFKK is getting. I'm sure it will be a much welcome addition to the park guest.
