Six Flags - More Flags, More Fun! Ad 2008

Looks like this is an example of the new ad campaign for Six Flags? Medusa and I believe NITRO make an appearance in a SFMM ad.

I didn't meet anyone in Korea that mean. At Everland the park employees gave constant waves. It was amazing along with the costumed animal ears and such you could buy at the park. Maybe another Asian element would have been fun.

Mr. Six was more innocent, probably more family friendly. What family friendly approach was this new ad Six Flags? My brother and sister are engaged in this Asian television though. I guess that's where the demographic is.

I just got to Six Flags. "Six Flags - You Are Here." Now this is up.

Eh. It's taking a jab at Asian people and the way they speak English -- while attempting to make it come off as comical or as a joke. I find it rather offensive really.

The whole Fun-O-Meter thing is really clever though.

LOL. I can't stop laughing now. Anyways. I do find it odd they use Medusa. I guess they'd rather go for the more thematic look rather than the parking lot look. Whatever. Everything looked really vibrant too...when in reality we now it's a lot more dryer and dead looking. Ah special effects and crap.

I had to watch the first video again because I believe I saw a "Dueling Dragons near-miss" with two kids after coming off their waterslides. I'm sure this illusion is based on the camera angle and the two kids are actually a safe distance apart, but a mid-air collision after a slide would be fun.

The ads themselves were okay, in the way that they rated "fun" on a scale, comparing sitting at home to being at Six Flags. But trying to make people laugh at the way the asian guy sounds could be offensive to some, although SF would deny that that was their intention. Mr. Six was okay, because he was actually funny, but this guy just isn't.

I've noticed that, especially for SFOG, they show Goliath at SFMM and advertise it as Goliath at SFOG.
And the same thing for most of their other commercials.

It's been like a stated fact with Six Flags for years. I only wondered if it would change with the regime change. NITRO was at least 3-4-5 years old and they were still showing Raging Bull footage for it. I'm glad they finally got some NITRO footage. Six Flags has held on to their Batwing/X Flight loop footage it seems. It definitely is an Arrow/Vekoma loop in the commercial.

I do like the whole fun meeter idea. but they should have come up with more realistic scenarios. a family playing in a sprinkler in there back yard compared to a water park and water rides. Kids riding a laundry basket down the stares compared to the park itself.

The guy is simply annoying. they should have gone with a sports caster or perhaps a semi known celebrity on one of the many shows. perhaps a wrestler.

Hate the use of an Asian man. That's strikes me as quite ignorant.

Vedved - The use of different coasters is very typical Six Flags. At least the Cedar Fair ads are totally park exclusive.

Cedar Fair uses some stock footage also. GL and MIA last year had some same water rides in their commericals.

On the SFFT website they have a POV video for Superman: Krypton Coaster, and it's S:ROS!

I've seen that S:ROS footage before but my Flash is really bringing it out clear. They need people like you to be interns and set the site straight.
