Question Silverwood Park

I would like to get some opnions (good or bad) on Silverwood out in Athol, ID. I was looking up the coasters there and would really like to ride the the two wooden coasters out there. Plus with Aftershock, it seems like the park is really coming along. The only bad part things is that it is a 31 hr drive straight thru from Ohio. I looked up some prices on hotels, airfare and car rental from Bill Shatner's web site and it didnt look too bad if two people could split the cost. I could fly in to Coeur d'Alene and the park is only a half hour from there according to my sources. Could anyone who has been there give me thier opinion on it?

There's a new airline that's flying into Columbus. They were flying into smaller cities so check their route to see if they're flying to Boise. Skybus? I'm not sure of the line but my sister just used them to fly from Columbus to Newburgh, NY (close to Poughkeepsie,NY.)

I am also not in the know about Silverwood. The most exposure they got for me was the Michael Jackson rollercoaster skit background used for SNL a few years ago.

I have a friend in Coeur d'Alene who says it's expensive for what you get, but she's a non-rider anyways.

Hello - Silverwoos is 45 mins away from me. It it almost 40 bux a person to get in, but you get entry into silverwood and the water park boulder beach which is a pretty decent water park. But the actual theme park portion is very overrated. The coasters are ok..Im hoping aftershock will be good but other than that this park is not worth driving or flying cross country to get to.

Never been there, but I've heard that the two wooden coasters are quite good, but neither are truely world class. I've seen other coaster enthusiasts give them ratings of about 8 out of 10. I'd probably rather visit another park, but that's just me.

Skybus went out of business, sadly. I used them last August when I flew to Cedar Point.

Word I called my cousin in May and told her the flight she took from Newburgh NY to Columbus was historic cause Skybus went out of business

Now I'm thinking maybe one should fly to Sea-Tac in Washington, go to the parks there, then go to Silverwood.

I've been interested in this place for a while, and Aftershock is really taking form to be a great coaster here, the landscaping looks fantastic, and it's machinery is being upgraded for it to have more operation. Hopefully there is speedy load and unload at Silverwood so the capacity will be a bit better, but overall, the coaster is just a headache in itself. But, above all, Silverwood has made Aftershock look very pretty in it's new home!
