Busch Entertainment Possibly Sold Off?

According to our local paper in Virginia Beach, if InBev buys Busch they plan to shed "noncore assets", which most likely includes the 10 parks under Busch Entertainment. Who would have the money to buy them? I don't see Six Flags or Cedar Fair being able to swing it. Also, how might this impact the high quality standards at Busch parks? I have to say that I'm hoping the sale doesn't go through.

That would suck. Busch Parks are my favorite company.
Top Parks:
1. Cedar Point
2. BGA
3. BGE
4. DW
5. KW

If InBev does that, it would be long before the head honcho there is assassinated by an outraged enthusiast.

That will really suck because i really like the busch parks but i doubt Busch will say no to 46 Billion.

The only company i could see even intrested in Buying the busch parks would be some investment firm. Disney, Cedar Fair & Six Flags wont be buying. Most likely it will be some investment firm or i could see Maybe Disney buying BGE & BGA or one of them and re-locating the rides to the long rumored Disney Villians Park.

Of course the worst could happen and they close all Busch parks and sell off all the rides.

I read on a non-coaster related website that if Anheuser-Busch is sold, the Busch family might in turn buy the theme parks back from InBev along with some other "non-vital" assets the company owns.

That would be sweet. If they stayed in the Busch family I'd be more confident in them maintaining the high quality they currently have.

I really don't see them closing the parks. Busch constantly spends a lot of capital updating them, so I've got to believe they are profitable.

I don't like Busch beer but I respect their American tradition and what they do with their parks. Somehow I end up finding random full cans of Bud around the neighborhood and town. Weird. I don't even like the beer or their light variety.

If they decide to keep the parks then they have a butt load of money to sink into each park and bring more high quality thrills.

I could see the two "Gardens" parks being bought out by Herschend group possibly. Probably wishful thinking.

I don't think this would affect the parks much. If Busch gets 64 Billion, i don't see why they couldn't keep their parks. I wonder if Pepsi would do anything with it if the family doesn't, as they sell Pepsi products at their parks, or at least at BGA.

Also, I wonder if they would continue to sell beer at their parks, which has always interested me to see how an intoxicated person reacts on a coaster.

I have to agree with all this post. Really, I see it as so long as we know that the Busch family holds 51% of the stock, Anheuser-Busch as the whole company will not be touched.
If somehow this does go through I see it as probably a good idea to just cut Busch Entertainment Corporation from the base company and let it roll off as its own, it's certainly able to sustain itself. Also, the amount of Love August Busch III (I literally mean this, ABIII adores all his parks) shows toward this park, he will never let anything happen to them.

Well, in my eyes, the Busch family will keep the parks, or they will be sold of to independent investors. Think about 46 BILLION DOLLARS being put into Busch Gardens Europe?? *drools*

Yes he may love his parks but money talks no matter who you are and 46 Billion talks pretty loud but i agree. I think the parks will be fine and then the family has 46 billion to put into the parks. Maybe after the sell we'll see alot of work to both parks. Maybe and new themed land or two for each with 2 high quality coasters for each park and some nice flats.

That is easily the most far fetched and unrealistic rumor I have ever heard... Well at least in quite some time.
