I don't see LZ going to Dollywood for two reasons. First, it will need a sizeable piece of flat land and second B&M coasters are not the most family friendly ( refering to the minimum height to ride) as compared to other manufactures. Makes you wonder about Carowinds though as all this about HRP has been going on, the decide to take out the log flume...I still think SFOG would be a great fit for it,they could always get rid of the Cyclone( I prefer GASM over it)

So Roller Soaker at Hershey is even more elaborate in layout than Slippery and Super Saturator? Slippery When Wet would be the 2nd Bon Jovi icon shut down this year. His co-owned Philadelphia Soul Arena Football team with the whole AFL called off this season.

While SFOG has a number fo coaster I think they need to add to the park not replace.

I think the Smaller family sized coaster will be the first to get picked up and moved. There are a number of coaster that could use a coaster of their size and style.

I think Maximum RPM would be a good coaster for Wild Adventures.

An impossible dream but Led Zeppelin along the lakeside at Lake Winnie would be pretty sweet. Though one of the few flat rides would be more in their price range, at least I assume.

I do think that Wild Adventures would be a good fit for any of the coasters from HRP. That brings in Herschend though which with the success of Dixie Stampede in the market there, they already know how to target that areas audience. I'm really suprised they weren't willing to take on the park as a whole there. Sure it would likely be a major retheme I think they could pull it off there. I'd really bet you that had they not bought Wild Adventures they would of been willing to pay only slightly more for HRP.

Plus it's fairly flat by Dollywood standards and with all the parking improvements being done their could be a lot of land opened up where the old entrance road is, for example a path from jukebox junction to country fair. Oh and yeah now that I've said Jukebox Junction I guess it technically doesn't have a water ride but it's close enough to the rampage.

I do also think that the Eagles coaster could be a good fit at Dollywood as it would fill a void left when Thunder Express was removed.
Eagles Coaster Replacement- Maybe. But I do think the Slippery When Wet would be perfect if it was placed right around the held off plan, Adventure Mountain with a little bit of re-theming.

And also, now thinking about land area, I will have to reconsider possible parks for LZ. Sounds like there is enough area at Six Flags America, and as a kind of small, almost unstable park, it would be perfect there as, once again, no B&M's.

P.S. It is funny that I keep talking about no B&M coasters as my home park, Lagoon, which I love so much, has only three Schwarpskorf (or however its spelled) coasters (a custom looper an oval coaster, and a Jet Star 2) one vekoma (family invert) two Maurer Sohone (Wild Mouse and spinning coaster, and a Zierer (Launch Tower Coaster: Wicked!). no B&M's or Intamin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was announced yesterday, I think, that the park will be liquidated in parts, or possibly as a whole.

It looks like the park will be gone forever, unless someone somehow buys the park as a whole.

You might see it bought as a whole but with a few rides removed. Not that they have that many rides to spare. but if thy remove a couple coasters, the water play structure, miscellaneous set pieces, maybe some food service equipment, etc. lower the cost of the property

You might see someone buy the property for a a more contemporary park.

There's a new Colossal Construction episode about making Hard Rock Park on the Science Channel, just debuted this past weekend. Ironic that news of it's doom was just released.

It's kind of like the Heath Ledger death equivalent of theme parks.

Ya it wasn't updated with the news.

I watched the show it was pretty interesting. Some of the things brought up were: the terrible soil the park is built on, delays do to the ground problems and the new rides, problems with the designs. Took them a full day just to install the Giant guitar which was a ton over projected weight.

This park was in for a hard time from day one.

I was able to read it and understand it.

Terrible soil that the park is built on, problems with ride designs, full day to install a giant guitar because it was a ton over weight.

I looked in on the discovery Science Channels page. seem the show is switching subjects for a new week. I'm sure some time in the near future they will show it again.
