Birthday Admission in '09: WDW or DL?

I just saw a Disney commercial for their 2009 promotion: "Start your birthday off right with the most magical birthday present of all: free admission on your birthday during 2009 to one of the Theme Parks of Walt Disney World® or Disneyland® Resort*! It's our gift to you and it all begins right here...."

A bunch of you know I'm not a big Disney fan but I generally cleaned house with the missing WDW credits I needed this past Columbus Day. I would definitely chose Disneyland. I like the vibe there more and I'm still missing Space Mountain and now Finding Nemo subs from that park.

Which park would you choose?

I think it only applies to a certain age group to be honest.

Disneyland, a lot of the rides are better there from what I hear.

A quick trip via google to the Disney site shows this - Disney.com

Quote:
Q: What ages are covered in this offer?
A: This offer is good for anyone over age 3.
So its open to anyone..

As far as I go.. I wouldn't have to pay for admission to Disney anyways.. But seeing is how I've never been, I'd pick Disneyland.

Hopefully my hollywood birthday girl Jessica Simpson signs up to go to DL. But then she afford to pay for it easily.

Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to cash in on this promotion. My birthday's in June (busy and hot) and my husband's is 2 days before Christmas (busy busy busy busy). The amount of extra money we'd have to pay for a hotel stay would negate the savings of not having to pay for one person's one day ticket. We'll plan for an extended vacation in an off-peak time like November instead. I really want to go back and do DiveQuest at Epcot again!!

If I go see my brother in Gainesville and we do the Florida additions I might just go to get the Primeval Whirl that I lack at AK since the admission would be free. Maybe he could wait in the parking lot. Where's the "Disney Magic" in that? A day at Disneyland would be more productive for me.
