'09 SF Maps Released

On another site someone pointed out that the new maps for the 2009 season are up for the various Six Flags parks. I am quite impressed with the detail they now have. I hope it carries through to the printing. The layouts of most coasters are as accurate as can be now. At SFGADV they only messed up with S:UF. If CHILLER was still around they might have got it right for once. With the SFNE they depict SROS as all purple and blue. Can anyone decipher from the SFA if there is a new attraction there? Two Face is officially gone from that map. Sadly SFKK continues to not have Twisted Twins on the map as well.

SFNE map pretty much confirms that JOKERS WILDCARD will be back... And will go where Nightwing once was.. (Although that was all pretty clear last fall)

That was the former indoor scrambler I supposed. A scrambler at SFNE is better than our scrapped or boneyarded one at SFGADV.

No no. SFNEs Scrambler is near Flashback.

Joker was a Chance Wipeout, although Gadv did have one as well (Trabant) I think it was called Sombrero.

That's EL-Sombrero. I miss that ride. It was probably my SFGADV favorite along with the Polish international worker girl that worked it the one year.

The new maps look great. A 100% improvement over SFoG's map from years past.

Great Adventure's map looks awesome too. I'm excited to go to the park now. Notice the fireworks over the lake.

Wow this is intense! I love the details now on the maps. They messed up on SFDK's V2 though. They made the back spike twisted as well as the front. Haha other than that it looks 150% beter than last years!

Wow, the detail is really something on those maps. I really dig it.

What really impressed me was the textured pavement renderings in the maps. The details are really coming together.

I REALLY dig the new maps, perhaps the best maps available for any Theme Park Chain. I personally think the SFMM one looks awesome too, and I love how the rides are actually accurate to their real layout. The only one that's off a bit is Scream! They make it look like its yellow...

^ If you zoom in on the PDF, you can see that the rails are yellow and the track is blue (like the actual ride itself), but because it's zoomed out, the yellow stands out more than the blue.

There's no numbers on the attractions. No names are the larger ones. No clues as to what the certain rides that are supposed to and unwillingly get renamed will be called.

The only thing I see is S:UF's layout at SFOG is a little off, but it's better than their past maps.

They look alright. Still very cartoonish though. Least they got rid of all the superheros that used to clutter their maps.

It's screwed up with SFGADV's S:UF as well. I think SFGAM S:UF is more on the ball.
