| Busch Gardens website redesign
I popped over to the Busch Gardens website today to check out their operating calendar. The website has been completely redesigned and mention of Africa and Europe has been completely dropped. On the opening splash screen, it used to have Africa and Europe, where you clicked to select which one you wanted to go to. It now has Williamsburg and Tampa shown instead. Also, going into the main website for the park, they have been completely redesigned (and not for the better, IMO). The title page for Williamsburg now says "Busch Gardens Virginia" instead of Europe. Interesting.

It's back to the format we knew of the parks for a long time.

I'm wondering if this is solely as a result of InBev's intentions of selling the parks. But even then, I'm wondering why the sudden change was made - they don't seem to give a hoot about the parks, so why bother changing the overall theme of them?

The BGA site is still the same, just not BGE...ImBev would like to sell the parks yes, but they are about the only thing associated with AB thats making any real money...AB ImBev profits were down 95% last quarter ( thats Huge )and in the last couple of weeks the big shots have been at the parks ( Busch was there at BGA this past Saturday) and the biggins' from ImBev were there the week before.

Yeah, Tampa's site looks significantly better than Williamsburg's site. I still find the whole thing very interesting. I'm thinking that it's because even after all the advertising put into marketing them as Africa & Europe, they are still referenced as "Williamsburg" and "Tampa" instead by the GP. Why throw money at 'branding' if no one is going to use it?

The Africa, Europe changes were a marketing move. It was said back when they did it that they weren't sure how long the new names would last. The sites not too bad. there are a few things I don't like. If they are goign to have media on all the rides they need to make it easy to see.

I noticed the two sites have their particular versions. I got used to the new BGA and BGE names. I can just as easily go back to BGW and BGT that we've used for awhile.
