Leo, I'm in rides, not entertainment. I just hope that I'm not in Skull Island again next year.

Sir Topham Hat was a freaky looking character, though.

SFOG's Thomas town is a joke. Not as much that Deja Vu was removed but simply because it doesn't have anything. They couldn't trouble themselves to cut into the parking lot just a little bit and get a few more rides in there.

I think just something next to the skyride. The train ride is just fine.

SFOG didn't have that strong of a kiddie land to start with. the Thomas town addition really gave them the opportunity to offer a solid ride selection and they could have added Family level attractions that everyone could have used.

personally I woudl like, if it's possible, To extend Thomas half to 2/3rds of the way to batman. then change over to Gotham city. add 2-3 flats to supports the Gotham theme. and remove those 2 dead ends.

^I would like to see a Dark Knight over in Gotham City. I'm not sure how far I would go with TT, but I do think a nice B&M Floorless would fit behind it. Maybe a Scream or Medusa(Bizarro) clone. I still think that Thomas Town wasn't really needed, and if SFOG gets a Wiggles World like a rumor said a few years ago, it will be a sad day for the park. If SFOG wants to expand so much, a small oval shaped kiddie coaster could go on Carousel Hill behind the Riverview Carousel, the USA section needs a few more flat rides, the French section could use a small flat ride(and I mean small), and I think they could sqeeze another flat ride or two into the Cotton States and Lickskillet sections.

Those who think they want a Dark Knight Clone. Read this Very Cleary:

At SFOG's Thomas Town only a play structure and two plastic photo props? have to be hosed off from the recent major flooding overtaking most of the park. I can imagine the damage to the train and the shop though. That might be the slight good in having such a small Thomas Town there.

Could the Capital Express Train at SFA be turned into a full size Thomas train ride? The existing boneyard could be stretched as a railyard for Thomas Land.

SFOG moved teh Train to higher ground. any rides to the Thomas Town woudl need to be similar in style were they could bring the cars to higher ground a steel coaster or track guided ride.

as for SFAm They could but didn't thy just rehab the train line? or was it just a renaming. There are no Full scale Thomas trains the ones that make the rounds are static props and need to be run double headed with a real locomotive. the only operating Thomas engines I know of are teh highly scaled SFI ones, the scaled model at Drayton Mainer and The 2 ft gauge owned by Edaville USA in Massachusetts.

That's where it goes beyond me for trains. Those small diesels couldn't be stretched out as a Thomas one like painting it blue?

Kids are pretty perceptive they would notice that the train was a square diesel engine. They could put a new body on but it would look OK but off. it would need to be large to stay in scale. Thomas is a tank Engine with extended tanks. The hard part is up the 0-6-0 (3 wheels each side connected by one drive arm) wheel alignment

So it's a lot more difficult than painting that particular SFA Thomas Blue and slapping a Thomas face circle on it. Those SFA train locomotives are pretty short.

Ya it wouldn't be that simple. though the Thomas world has a few diesels that could serve as a character front. but with the line recently redone I couldn't want to see it happen.

It wouldn't be the same if the SFA adult line was headlined by two Thomas side characters. Thomas has to be in the mix, at least if they make the smaller railroad too.

I'm still throwing out the lines and talking to families I see at work about a Thomas Town for SFGADV.

Thomas is a yard engine. So he woudl be used for smaller jobs on short lines. There are larger Engines that handle the Express and long lines. Drayton Mainer Has both Thomas and Persey on their train line.

There are a lot of characters known and not so known. There is a tug boat so a rockn' Tug is likely to be in the mix.

Will Sir Topham Hat come out at night for SFOG Fright Fest? I think he could serve day-night duty at the park.

^Do little kids really stay that late at the park? You would think it would be past their bedtime.

lol, he wouldn't even have to try!

Kids wise I noticed that at Screemfest this weekend the adults left with their kids come dusk. Only a few stayed around. They ended up shutting down most of the kiddie rides they had opened for the day.

^That was my original strategy to ride Wile E. Coyote Canyon Blaster at SFOG. Wait till all the kids are gone so there's no line.

Wile E. Coyote Canyon Blaster at SFOG is a great ride. It's just like Blackbeard's Treasure Train at SFGADV. I get onto that ride always within one train cycle at SFGADV. It's the best for wait time versus thrill. Excellent choice at SFGADV.

I saw sketches of the SFA expansion. There will be a big trucks on a track Thomas version of locomotives. Will they eat a slice of the Looney Tunes section like Wiggles World did at SFGADV and just retheme some rides but add a few others like that train?

I agree they could have planed it out better. outside of Deja Vu leaving they could have built up the ground a bit to make the area less susceptible to the flooding and added more rides.

Now di they say the location of the SFAm TT. I did see the sketches. Looks like a solid expansion.

I thought I read someone else rumor that there is a connection to Two Face's former spot. I've thought of the area behind Joker's Jinx even. The one sketch of a ferris wheel makes me wonder if they will move the 80 Days Around the World Ferris Wheel by the closed antiquated water slides and the bridge to Main Street at SFA to the new area. I think at least two rides are being recycled. You could be disappointed about that but I'm not a kid. I think it's kind of smart. Didn't the old management do that even with relocating some rides to SFOT? Moved rides appear more frequent that I would think.

I noticed in my town due to our location on the coast on a flood plain new construction being raised. Our new city hall and intermediate school where placed on areas of new flatten mounds of dirt. When they built the new Rite Aid, Walgreens, rebuilt our KFC and McDonalds they put those new mounds of dirt again. I find myself driving up quite a few hills. I think it has to do with insurance policies. Does SFOG have a levee/should build a levee?

As for SFAm I doubt 2 face has anything to do wit the new land. no room to build the area. if anything came out to make room for it and to keep it in the center of the park I would guess the stunt arena.

not sure is building a levee woudl be much good. the entire back half of the park is in that flood zone. They would have to build up parking lot and pretty much wall in the entire park.
