That would not work. You can't run steel coaster trains on wooden coasters.

^actually, I have seen them stored there in previous years. Apparently ride demand for Gemini is not to the point where they need so many trains.

I don't know if that would improve Mean Streak. It needs to be turned into a mass bonfire.

But then it won't burn as much.

Welcome to ThrillNetwork, LZfreak.

First, we have a rule about spelling/grammar. All sentences begin with capital letters, all sentences end with a period or exclamation point, and all proper nouns are capitalized (like "Mean Streak"). More info can be found in our FAQ about forum etiquette.

Second, all coasters valley during normal operation. So, what you are saying is you don't want it to run, or are you saying that you don't want it to stall or roll back? Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Everytime I ride a coaster, it valleys. I've never been on a stalled coaster or had one roll back (except Wicked Twister and what was Superman: Ultimate Escape, which does that by design).

Stop being so technical about the difference between a "valley" and a rollback," Steven. Why not get upset about the MCBR not being called a block brake? It doesn't matter. We know what people mean. And in this sense, a "valley" on the first hill implies a rollback; not clearing the second hill. Of all the things to get technical about, why pick that? You should tear people apart for saying "hoop-de-hoop" instead of loop.

I believe the last time Gemini ran six trains was its 25th anniversary in 2003. It can't operate efficiently with all six running (they'd stop in the block brakes), so they run four. I've seen the trains (and some Chaos cars) sitting in the area in the middle of Mean Streak for a long time.

^I believe the incorrect term is loop-de-loop. I mean, geez Chip, if you're going to rip on something, do it right.

Chip, I'm just trying to be helpful, because I was laughed at when I used the term "valley" with people who work with parks as well as manufacturers.

Maybe those people use the term differently then others? "Valley" isn't even technically a verb - at least it doesn't have a definition as such - so its hard to say its wrong to use it that way. When I worked at Six Flags America and Two Face would get stuck between the loop and lift two on a weekly basis it was always referred to as valleying; "Two Face valleyed again, so its down for the day."

I've heard it referred to as valleying the entire time I've been a coaster enthusiast since the mid-90's... So if anything maybe your "experts" are wrong?

I started being a coaster nut back in 1989. How about the term "Hill Miss?"

^^ While we are arguing terminology, shall we rehash the difference between break and brake...?
