When you gotta go . . .

Let's face it, when you get elected President you face the possibility of assassination. Of the four assassinations we've had up until this to this point, what's your favorite?

Ya know . . . I'm at work. I'm bored. I have time to kill. How many times can I ask what someone's favorite coaster is? I tried to be creative in my polls. These guys are all long gone and their wives are dead too. Whose feelings are you going to hurt?

Thumbs down

This poll should be locked. This is really unappropriate. The death of any human is sad. The President is our countrys most important person and leader. It is a very sad and terrible thing when that happens. This is espically inappropriate due to the recent terrorism. George W. is a big target to being assainated. Bin Laden attempt to kill Clinton.

BrooklynRider, you must've been really bored to come up with all these different polls. Especially this one. Wow. I guess I'd go with Kennedy because there's video of it, so we can pretty much see exactly how it happened, even though it's pretty scary. I also know exactly where my dad was when it happened. He told me about that and how scary it was.

OH OOPS!!!!!! I thought it mean which is your favorite president who was assassinated!!! I didn't see that it meant your "favorite assassination" oops.

I voted lincoln as favorite president who happened to have been assasinated. But, this is a dumb thread that is rather un-patriotic IMO.

I don't think it's unpatriotic to take a look at our past presidents, regardless of their demise. Would it be any more patriotic to just say "favorite dead president"? Lots to pick from. It's not like we're discussing "which one deserved it..."

My personal favorite would be John F. Kennedy (superb orator and very personable), but I think that Abraham Lincoln was the most able president we've had, perhaps in the entire of our history. To be able to unite a nation under those circumstances, well...

JFK.

How were Garfield and McKinley assassinated? Were they shot in the head too? No one that I know of was around during LIncoln's terms. My parents still talk of "what they were doing when" JFK was shot. I've got one of those "Century in Pictures" books from LIFE. The one photo clearly shows JFK's head milliseconds after being shot. I'd say of these 4, JFK is the one you could most identify with. How, I don't know.
