Both The Mummy and The Mummy Returns were good movies, but I thought that The Mummy Returns was slightly better.

I liked the first one more. I haven't seen Scorpion King yet, but the second one had so many mistakes in it that I actually noticed (I'm not one to notice mistakes in films) that it actually made it seem worse. Yeah, it was action-packed and pretty cool, but it wasn't that good. I also was not impressed with the CGI at the end when they showed the Scorpion King. It was a big scorpion with The Rock's head, only his head was obviously CGI. I think they could have at least pasted his head on it. That would look better, I think.

The Mummy Returns was awful! Everything about that movie suckedd! I loved the Mummy so I was shocked to see how bad the mummy returns was.

The Mummy was better... but the classic is even better than that. Mummy Returns, quite frankly, was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Absolutely absurd... I refuse to see any subsequent Mummy film, including Scorpion King.

Mummy. I like the mummy much more than the mummy returns. I don't really know why I like the mummy more, but I just do.

I liked both of them - haven't seen The Scorpion King so I can't judge that- If I had to pick the best- I would say The first one! One thing about the 2nd one I didn't like was the make up- they overdid it a little- especially on Evie!

I liked the Mummy a lot better than the Mummy Returns. It had a better plot IMO.

I liked the Mummy better, like someone else mentioned, the CGI generated Scorpion King was just awful, and I liked the plot of the first Mummy better.

Both the Mummy and the Mummy Returns were absolutely miserable movies, down on the extreme bottom of my list of horrible movies, and for that basic reason I refuse to see the Scorpion King. I will not see it even someone offers to pay for me. And "The Rock" is not a film actor. Stick to wrestling. |

Well, neither of the two I saw were my favorites (mummy and mummy returns) but Mummy was better the it's sequal. The CGI Scorpion King was absolutly horrible. I havn't seen SK but my bro liked it so it can't be that good. I agree with Cobra (although he was great on SNL), he should just stick to the horror known as wrestling.

[/B][/QUOTE] well maybe but some actors are meant for certain roles for instance I doubt you would see Michael Caine in a loin cloth kick ass right? That is where actors like the Rock and Arnold come in they are not there to put on an acting clininc they are there to entertain people. And those guys like them do there job well.

The Mummy was so much better, it was darker, more claustrophobic and a lot more tense. They ruined the second one with stupid characters, the kid and the hot air balloon pilot wrecked the whole feel of the 'world' painted in the Mummy. The Mummy Returns was too over the top for me.
