Jurassic Park 1, 2, or 3?

Which did you think was the best of the Jurassic Park movies?

I thought the 2nd one was the best of them.

The original was best. It had the best plot with the most suspense. The second one was god awful, IMO. As for the third one, the series is just getting tiring with the same old stuff, but it is better than the second.

The 1st was the best. It had a good story and the effects were jaw-dropping(kinda like the 1st Star Wars). Star Wars, Jurassic Park and T2 raised the bar in moviemaking in their own way.

I liked the original. The other two were just completely unrealistic (yes the first one is too, but the others are even worse) and they weren't any good IMO.

The first one, without question. The first one is was imaginative, fun, had a good plot, and was the one that had audiences in awe back in 1993. The other two were just pointless sequels, IMO. I'm not sure, but I think a fourth one is in the works.

I'v only seen the 1st and the 3rd and the 1st was a TON BETTER.
Everything about it was better.... Can't wait for Star Wars Episode 2!

i liked the first the best, then the thrid. The second one just sucked. THe ending was so stupid.

Also, i suggest that if u liked the movies you read the books, they are 10x better. Also JP3 the book: comming soon.

Well, the first was best for overall plot and fear factor, the second was more or less idiotic but had some fairly good character development (the psycho that was hunting the Rex) and a bit better comedy, and the third had the best dinosaur development showing the societal organization of the raptors, though the big spiny dinosaur was just an idiot. Overall, I'd rate the first the best, then the third, then the second.

I agree with Natelox, the books are far better, but in my opinion that only applies to the original Jurassic Park -- the second book was obviously whipped off as a sequel to build on success, and it didn't do a good job at all. There was barely no plot development and the whole story was very shallow.

Natelox -- is there really a JPIII book on the way?

JP I was a classic it will go down as one of the better sci-fi movies ever. It was thrilling, scary, and entertaining. The second was just horrible I couldn't believe how bad it was. The III was an entertaining popcorn flick and I really enjoyed it. If I had to rank them it would go:

1. JP
2. JP:III
3. JP:II

JP1 is and will forever be the best movie of the three.

it goes in order

the 1st was amazing, definetly the best
the 2nd was ok, nothing great
3 was a disaster, what's next, Dr. Grant forgot his wallet on the island and has to go back to get it because it has all that sentimental value and all...

Maybe because he doesn't have a Capital One card -- could get one through our popup ads... (In case you're wondering, this is a very lame joke about the "secured" cards that you can lose but don't have to worry about anyone else charging...)

I like the 2nd one the most, I forget what happened in the first one because I haven't seen it in so long, but we just started watching it today in Science, and the 3rd one was pretty good too.

I like the original. It had so much promise for the sequals, and it was the most suspensful and had the best plot. The second one was the worst of the three IMO, and I thought the third one was ok, but not as good as the first.

I like the 1st one the best, the other 2 couldn't compare to the original and the plot in the first one was much better, and the 3rd one where the marines come at the last second was real dum

Well, The first JP is the best for me. I never saw it in theaters but when I first saw it, it was great. JP:III is next because JP:II went on about half an hour longer then it should have.

1 was the best. Like most sequels of other movies JP 2 & 3 were a lot worser than the original.

thats what i've heard. Although keep in mind it take a long time to write a book, so don't expect it too soon. I'm guessing probably 2003.

The original was the best bar none. The second was ok, and the third was really crappy.

I'll say the first one because it was so original when it came out and it was the first movie to have really realistic things done by CGI. I believe ILM did the CGI work.

1st one because it was the one that introduced the idea of there being a park that could contain Dinosaurs. In the second and third one, the idea had already been done and the only new thing was the plot. The first one just gave the best effect in introducing Jurassic Park as a fanatsy idea.
