Good indoor coasters...

Are there any indoor/enclosed coasters out there that are actually good? What do you think?

Hearing a lot of the complaints and criticisms about Disaster Transport got me thinking. There are a lot of indoor coasters out there, and very few seem to be worth riding. The only indoor coasters that seem to be worth going on are the Space Mountain coasters at any of the disney parks, and FOF at either PKI or PKD (ever since they removed the OTSR's anyway).

Canyon Blaster at The Adventuredome theme park (Circus Circus Hotel & Casino) in Las Vegas is one surprising ride. For a 10-year old looping Arrow coaster, it is probably the smoothest and most fast-paced ride I have ever ridden next to Batman The Ride. It hits you with element after element without stopping until you hit the brake-run. That's two back-to-back vertical loops, a hill with unsuspecting ejector air, a smooth banking turn into the double corkscrew, tunnels, a helix. Probably the most underrated coaster on the strip - just 'cause it's an Arrow.

While not to many people think its that great, I think that Rock N' RollerCoaster is a pretty cool ride, the scenery during the ride is awesome!

I gotta go with flight of fear. That coaster is just plain awesome. It has lapbars though so it kindof cheats.

How is having lapbars "cheating"?

LIES!

Space Mountain and Flight of Fear are both great, but RnRC rules over them.

Of the two I've been on, Mayan Mindbender sucks, but Runaway Mountain is actually fairly good.

Yeah, Mayan Mindbender is pretty...well...just plain bad.

Alas, Runaway Mountain broke down when I went to SFOT, and I didn't ride it.

I thought Flight of Fear was incredible for its intensity and the near-total blackness of the ride; Disaster Transport is quaint for its uniqueness as a bobsled coaster; Space Mountain (Disney World) is very "perky" with lots of sudden changes; and Rock'n'Roller Coaster was a pleasure because of its theming carried out in true Disney style through the queue to the end of the ride itself.

I've never been on an enclosed coaster that I didn't like -- they all have their good points, it just depends on what you're looking for. For an all-out great coaster (ignoring theming and other trancendental qualities), I've have to go with Flight of Fear.

Well cheating's probably not the best word, but the lapbars make it a way better coaster than what it was before.

Cheating as in it's a better ride than having OTSR's which gives it an edge over the OTSR indoor coasters. RnRC is the best indoor coaster I have ridden.

RnRC and Space Mountain were both incredible for me, and they are the only indoors I've ridden.

When my friend took me to PKI I was actually scared of Flight of Fear... he wouldn't tell me if it went upside or not...blah blah blah... it was great! Also, the Rock n' Roller Coaster is awesome too, mainly for it's themeing!

Space monutain paris! Rnr isn't a good ride, the layout is really boring.

Fof is supposed to be really good, but i haven't ridden it. Its a bit like Rnr i guess but more interesting.

It doen't really matter that FOF has inversions. You caan't really feel them too much. I was only able to count two inversions while riding it. The corkscrew near the end is awesome though.

Well I have only been on one and it was Space Mountain at Walt Disney World. I was like 7 or 8 and it scared the crap out of me.

FOF at KI or KD..when they dont STOP! you at the MCBR..but then when they do stop you..you get to move with teh turns more..but i like it better when its faster...
but the worst indoor coaster would be N@CC at TGE...its just a jetstart in a somewhat dark room...

Blazing Fury at Dollywood is fun...however, I was a little kid when I rode it. What about Mindbender at West Edmonton Mall in Canada? Has anyone been on that. Also, I know there is an indoor coaster being built somewhere in Europe or Asia. I think it's an Intamin with orange track. Does anyone know what that's called?

I think the best indoor coasters are the ones that send you into complete darkness at one point or another. Does FOF do that?

I always thought it would be cool if CP enclosed the Wild Cat and just made it a ride in complete darkness. They could change the name to Black Cat...or something.

FOF at both KI and KD are the best. I liked KI's better because it didn't slow down during the midcourse brakes. Rockin rollercoaster was good but does not compare to the disorientation that FOF has.
