| To Give Up Coasters
This is one of those fantasy questions in the "what if" type of vein. What would it take for you to give up coasters for good? By giving up, I mean you cannot ride any, cannot watch coaster shows or videos (whether taped, online, or whatever), cannot play coaster-type games, and cannot participate in forums / websites where the primary topic is coaster-related. For me, it's the hit list. The money isn't a big deal, because my husband and I are doing just fine (considering we don't make all that much), I'm not interested at all in fame and would hate that, immortality wouldn't be worth it to never ride coasters again, I already have that one special person, I am not so displeased with my own physique that I'd bother... But the hit list, you betcha. If there's something I might have left off the poll, feel free to discuss it -- but remember, it's a "personal" thing, so stuff like "world peace" isn't eligible. Remember to vote!

Hmm, thats a tough choice. Unlimited money with no taxes or strings attached. - Well, I'd love this but then I couldn't use the money towards coaster riding or buying my own coaster, so I don't know. Most likely yes, though. Fame and spotlights galore. - Nah, I wouldn't want to be that famous. Immortality at whatever age you choose (no aging). - Nah, living forever would have a lot of downsides. Finding that perfect, special person (no catch). - This is something almost nobody can find. I probably would give up coasters for this. A perfect physique with no maintenance necessary. - I'd also give up coasters for this since I'm very self concious about my looks. Your "legal" hitlist of 15-20 people (not huge groups). - Nah, I'm not that violent.

Unlimited money sounds like a good thing. It is fate if you can find that special someone. Fate again gives you your body, fame and imortality. Now the hit list would be quite interesting...hehehe. The money would aid in buying the weapons from the hit game, Postal2, and I already know of 2 or 3 of the 20 I would hit first.

I'd give them up for finding that perfect, special person. I've had such bad luck with women that I'd be willing to do anything to reverse my fortunes.

I'd take the money and the perfect companion, but not the other stuff.

hmm.... tough call The money- hell yes. Whoever controls the economy controls the world. I'd love to rule the entire world (albeit never show myself, just command a few to do that for me...) and just screw everyone over, especially since that hitlist could be alot more than 15-20 people then. Fame- hell no. Immortality- that's really a stupid thing. There would be some point at which life would no longer be worth living, in which case you would be trapped in an eternal hell. So, I wouldn't take that for free. Finding that perfect special person- meh, I don't even think I'd take that for $5. physique- I personally couldn't care less. 1 cent would be too much for that. Hit list- tempting, would be a sure thing if I could expand it to a few hundred. Given how low the number is, it would be based on how creative I could get with the kills, and whether I got to stick around and watch. Watching just one of a few particular people get crucified would be well worth it alone... |

Unlimited money sounds nice, but then again, what's that worth if you don't have a hobby to spend it on? I'll note a maybe. Fame. No thanks, I'll pass on that. Far too many people seem to recognize me already.. I don't even dare dream about what would happen if I would become famous. Immortality.. that really sucks in my opinion. What's the fun in being immortal when everybody you care about dies of old age? The special person. That sounds really nice, and I would definately give up riding coasters for that. Fortunately, I already found that special person, and I didn't even have to give up riding coasters for that. ![]() A perfect physique. Sounds tempting, especially because I require a lot of maintence to be able to keep walking. My knees are a real mess, and I haven't walked without pain for 4 yours. Fortunately for me, my knees got fixed.. so I don't really need that perfect physique. I kind of dislike the idea of being perfect as well, so.. I probably won't give up coasters for that as well. The hit-list sounds great! But then again, wouldn't I be doing my enemies a favor by releaving them of their missery? I would rather make their lives a living hell. Sounds a lot more fun as well. ![]() Looks like I don't really have a reason to give up coasters. |

Unlimited money with no taxes or strings attached - Would be cool, but I don't attach material wealth to my own happiness anyway. Fame and spotlights galore - Not for me. Immortality at whatever age you choose (no aging) - This would suck after a while. Finding that perfect, special person (no catch) - Already have that. ![]() A perfect physique with no maintenance necessary - Don't really care about this. Your "legal" hitlist of 15-20 people (not huge groups) - That's just sadistic. I'll choose the nonexistant 7th choice: to be able to fly. Yeah, that would kick ass. Or, if that didn't work out, I'd have The Police or The Who reunite.

I'll take either the money or the perfect special person. Also, Mike is definately on the right track, I'd take being able to fly over any of the other choices.

I'd say the money. I have other hobbies besides coasters, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal to give them up honestly. Yes, they're fun, and I've met some of my closest friends through this hobby (whether it be working at the park or otherwise), but they're not the most important thing to me. And I think I've already found that special someone (only time will tell). The rest of them aren't too appealing to me.

I'm taking immortality. None of the other choices do you any good when you are planted with the daisies. Plus, I wanna see what kind of coaster is around the bend in the year 2525.

immortaltiy sounds good. i think that would be the best. i mean with that, you can eventually work your way up to the CEO of a mutlibillion dollar company so you've got money and fame right there. with all the time in the world, you would evntually find that special person. and physique doesnt matter if you cant die. i seriously dont think that the world (or other planets) will get boring. the other thing that i would like is the ability to fly and the ability to turn invisable, those two things would be pretty awesome to have.

yeah people always say 2it would be horrible to live forever". I always think "why?". I mean when whats the alternative? Being dead can't be much fun, you might as well live forever. So the worse that can happen is you get bored.

I would take the unlimited money with no taxes or strings attached because then I would be able do any thing I want to. And I would not have to hold a job in my life. |

Unlimited Money would be so boring. Eventually you will just own everything, and there will be nothing else to buy. I would proabobly give it up for that special someone, but that special someone needs to like coasters, unfortunatley. No way on fame, being famous would suck for me. Live Forever? Nah. Physique? It's called excercise and proper eating. It isn't that hard. Hit List? No, that's just evil.

The money, because I could afford to go anywhere I want and visit non coaster rides that are just as thrilling. I could skydive, parasailing, etc. Although, fame and spotlight does sound good. Having fame and spotlight means you get lots of money, so it is really 2 for the price of 1. Last edited by edh101985; 09-27-2003 at 11:21 PM. |

I would take finding that perfect person over money. Ive come to the conclusion that, even if I had trillions, i would be unhappy if I didnt have that special someone. Imortality..yes, you could get enough money. And you could find the perfect person. She would then die, and you'd be very sad. Im convinced that if I knew i had to make a pact with God between coasters and that, i'd give up riding coasters.

I would pick finding the perfect someone. Sometimes it seems as though this person doesn't exist. So it would be great to find that one person. I've got an option that is tempting for me also: What if you could be the best at one particular talent or sport? Would you give up coasters for that? My answer: in a heart beat.
