| | | Haunting Songs. What do you think is the most haunting song you've heard.
For me its:
Johnny Cash: Hurt
Nirvana: Where did you sleep last night?

| | | The theme from "Halloween" is the creepiest tune I've heard. For a song you hear on the radio, I would say "Close Your Eyes Forever" by Ozzy and Lita Ford. |

| | | Easily "The Ancient Queen" by Emperor.
Which is really odd that a song can be haunting and have a crunchy, catchy riff... but, it does very well. |

| | | I like the "Liquid Waltz" from the movie Donnie Darko. For those who have seen it, it's the song when he can see his path and follows it to the gun, and it's also in the bike scene near the end.

It's just creepy seeing 4 pale white guys from brooklyn on stage, singing the words "kill all the white people" lol |

Whats freaky is I was about to say that. It was in House on Haunted Hill, I believe.
Alot of Pink Floyd freaks me out, too. |

| | | This is primarily a poll, so I'll shunt it over in that direction...
"Stay" by Shakespeare's Sister. It's haunting and very sinister, but plaintive at the same time.
A classical piece not to miss is Bach's "Tocatta in Fugue" -- your very classic "graveyard" piece.

You should hear the Nine Inch Nails original version of Hurt, its a lot better and a lot more haunting than Johnny Cash's version, especially at the end.

| | | I believe that was a remix in the movie Kraken of Mansons Sweet Dreams....so its more upbeat than the original......but to get the full haunting effect, you have got to see his video for it...it scares even me!

| | | Almost all of Pink Floyd's music is pretty hauting. The Wall DVD really shows it too.

I agree completely, but I think more of a haunted house or mansion when I hear that song. The organ on that is just plain freaky wherever you hear it. That's a song that should be a staple at any Haunted House.

| | | Probably the best halloween type song is Michael Jackson's "Thriller." The guy at the end has a really creepy voice. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
