| | Most expensive Park Food??? I just got back from a great trip to BGW, but I'm still amazed that I spent $15 for lunch at the park! It was the new Trapper's Smokehouse, and the food was great, but I could have bought a NICE sit-down meal at a normal restaurant for that much money. (and wouldn't have to listen to cheesy park singers while I ate it either)
So... which park that you've been to has the most expensive food?
I would have to say SFoG, CP and maybe BGW in that order. Although BGW has the best park food I've seen, so I don't mind it as much.
Ok. So what are yours...

| | | I think all park food is exorbidantly expensive, but probably Disney tops the list (as they do in many "most expensive" areas). I try not to eat meals in any park, just a snack and we'll leave the park to actually eat later in the day. If that's not possible, well, you just have to accept that sort of cost and go with it.

| | | Disney. I remember one of those sit down resturaunts we tired to get into, crazy expensive. If you know your stuff, CP is actually a pretty good deal. But Disney rips you off.

| | | It all depends where you eat at Disney. You can get a burger meal deal for $7. Of course nicer places will be more expensive.
I think Six Flags is the biggest rip. I paid 4.50 for a pretzel at Six Flags Great America.

| | | Any of the name-brand candy that a park sells is totally inflated -- M&Ms, Hershey bars, stuff like that seems to sell at a park for $1 or more when you can buy it in a convenience store, WalMart, or grocery store for under $.50.
stevetothekizzo is right, though, it matters where you eat at any park. Personally, I think $7 is too much for a burger meal (compared to McDonalds, which I like actually), but I don't mind the high prices for the fresh pineapple and pineapple ice cream at Disney. Probably because that's more of a rarity, and you can't pick it up at every fast-food joint. I don't mind the high price for Cedar Point's homemade fries, either, and that's a similar case.

| | | The one that really makes me ill, is how SF will charge $3 for bottles of water, that you can buy out a vending machine or convenience store for .80-1.00 normally.
Especially on really hot days, you have no choice but to pay the prices. Or get dehydrated. I sure won't drink that "tap water" that they have at the water fountains. (maybe that's all a part of their Master plan) lol

| | | Disney may be one of the most expensive, but I feel you at least get what you pay for. The portions are always really good, the foor is always fresh and tastes great, the atmospere is always amazing and clean,...I guess at Disney it's just worth it. It's like going to Hardrock Cafe or Rainforest Cafe, sure you pay a little more, but you're paying for the atmosphere. Unfortuantly I can't say the same thing about most Six Flags parks.

| | | Dippin' Dots -- lol. I can get them at the mall cheaper, but I haven't had them in years. You're right, though, that sort of novelty item is always even more exorbidantly priced that "normal" food.

In the Northwest, you can get dippin' dots at McDonalds. They were priced at about $2.50 for a cup. That's the best price I've seen on Dippin' Dots.
