We are patriotic, Bay Village Rockets, and yes, the schools colors are blue and white, with red as a highlight.

How ironic is that? Name a school after a guy who hated the Indians, (excuse my political incorectness)then name the mascot after the Indians. I bet he'd just love that.

Okay, let me name all the ones in Lakeland, starting with my school:

Santa Fe Catholic Crimson Hawks (Hell yeah!)
Lakeland Dreadnaughts
George Jenkins Eagles (can't stand them)
Lakeland Christian Vikings
Kathleen Red Devils
Lake Gisbon Tomahawks

Think that's it. Jenkins lost for creativity. Santa Fe's (my school) and Lakeland are pretty close.

High School - City Knights. Originally was called the "Black Knights" in from 1830's to the 1970's, but then the school became about 98% black, so the team name was redundant. Thus, the black was dropped.

College - I've been to many colleges:
California University of PA Vulcans
Essex Bulldogs (I think that's what I remember)
U MD Terrapins
University of Baltimore - no sports teams. Had them from the 30s to 60's were called the "Bees"

Northmen (Northern Michigan)
Panthers (Florida)
Broncos (Michigan)

You are correct CedarFairMaster! A Don is a spanish cowboy, much like a Vaquero...Vaquero, does that ring a bell CedarFairMaster?

You left 2 high school's out though... Bishop Diego Cardinals, and the Laguna Blanca Owls, located in Hope Ranch.
